There certainly seems have been a seismic shift in attitude, we can debate whether VB was instrumental or not, but at the end of the day, it is the Allam's that needed to change their approach to these matters, as they always have the last word. This seems to have happened, why I guess is open to debate, but it seems the penny seems to have finally dropped that they do need the paying public through the turnstiles. Why has this taken so long though and has Grant McCann had some influence?
When the school bully starts giving away sweets most will view that with suspicion, some will take them straight away, some will wait a while and see where it leads, others wouldn't take one if they were paid to.
If either of the Allams stood up and apologised for some of their unhelpful statements and actions, then they may have half a chance of redeeming themselves to some extent and start getting stay away fans and others onboard.
I don't think any debate is needed. It is bleedin obvious John. -> "If either of the Allams stood up and apologised for some of their unhelpful statements and actions, then they may have half a chance of redeeming themselves to some extent and start getting stay away fans and others onboard." This. They won't though.
I'll never return to the KC until the Allams have well and truly gone. That said, I welcome the these recent efforts to try and get fans back on board, especially the half price for everyone at the Derby game, because obviously some haven't been going because of the cost, so it's good for them. I'm really surprised Ashbee and Meyler have taken the gig and I can only think they're doing this because they see a change of direction at the club, because these two are genuine all round good guys and no mistake. They wouldn't want any part in Hull City fans being conned again. Fingers crossed, this all ends well
Don't people bitch and moan about how stubborn the Allams are? End of the day people are only harming their own enjoyment by staying away at this point. It's blatantly clear that staying away won't make the Allams sell up and leave.
We all have our line in the sand. I stopped going for 7 years once cos a previous chairman looked at me in a funny way!!
Let's not forget the Premier League money is no more ... now .. more then ever .. the club needs revenue from supporters .. I expect this is why the sudden change in attitude .. I applaud the efforts to get bums to seats again .. but as some have mentioned .. the bitterest of taste remains. For some that will remain until these leeches have been singed from the skin of the club they have tried to bleed dry.
Didn't we get our last payment of PL funds in January? Would be odd if that prompted a sudden change 10 months later.
It's only now with the dropping attendances that the pinch is hitting .. and the Allams are too stubborn to admit this before now .
