I'm not saying I won't not have sweet stuff - It is just that i can take it or leave it. Tiramisu as you say on the the other hand is a game changer...:)

As my eldest brother always says to me - "eat garlic and you'll lose your friends". But all my friends love garlic too, so who cares?

So then. I have had fish and chips tonight thanks to Fats (I did cook the chips in garlic and basil :) ) and now thanks to Fran I think Roast Lamb on Sunday after football. I'll need to prepare it though in the morning as Mrs No7 hasn't been near the kitchen in about 10 years.

I've been known to have a starter and main course in a restaurant, and when everyone chooses their puds, I'll have another starter.
My wife bakes a lot though, usually for other people who can't, however when she does plan to bake for us I nearly always request a shortbread/frangipane/lemon thing that she does. It's amazing warm and fresh from the oven, and equally good when it has cooled down.
I don't eat cake very often but when she makes that there's never any left after a day or two

I wonder if it is a thing that people with very diminished sweet tooths like lemony desserts?

My tooth has become sweeter with age, but my all time favourite is my wife’s bread pudding, not to be confused with bread and butter pudding.
It is quite legendary in the family and if anyone caught wind of her making one, we would get visitors.
Unfortunately she doesn’t have the energy to do much in the kitchen, anymore, so I will have to get her to talk me through making one myself.

My wife makes it using her grandmother's recipe. I occasionally indulge, but people seem to instinctively know when she's making it and just drop in. She saves me a small bit from one of the edges with loads of crunchy bits. It's not overly sweet so I look forward to having it when it shows up.
I think you owe it to your wife to learn how to make her version StB.

Indeed not, but it is lemony. That particular lemon sweetness is a thing, I reckon.

    You’re so right.
I will get it sorted and post a picture of the end result, when done.
