Having read the RTG thread it would appear that the "off" rumour was started by Moshpit stating he'd received a PM from an antipodean based mate (Sessions?) stating an ex player (Armstrong?) had started it.

This would suggest there's nothing to worry about because Sessions constantly posts cr*p and it is well known Armstrong can't stand SD & CM, given that their bid for the club succeeded whereas his did not.

The fact remains though it was Moshpit who posted it and he must be held accountable for it, not Sessions or Armstrong.

EDIT. Just seen another post stating that "Armstrong just so happened to be pictured with some Sunderland fans on Facebook in the Bell the other day".

    Coincidence?

After looking at Moshpit's posting history you could quickly tell he was a chancer and not to take the post with any seriousness. He should be placed on ignore for all eternity.

Sessions is another who must be on the mods golden boys list over there.
He's a foul mouthed wum who posts inflammatory messages and replies with almost utter impunity.

Well that was an interesting 7 pages or so to catch up on! Hopefully there’ll be some news soon so any rumours and speculation can be put to bed.

I was actually looking at RTG last night when that poster claimed of the ITK info from his mate who knew an ex player who claimed the deal was off. The impact was akin to a bomb going off, mini meltdowns alles uber der platz.

There is for certain people on there who actually want this deal to fail. Quite pathetic to be fair.

I don’t believe that for one minute, but if there is they aren’t Sunderland fans. What I will say is though that the lack of any positive news is fuel to their fire.

There are two innocuous lads, on there, who are very well connected and aware of what's going on. One also posts here but the other doesn't. Both of them have contacted me to reassure me that the info I've had is mostly correct and to sympathise with the barrage of abuse from the imbeciles.
I don't need sympathy, I just laugh at the haters, but it was kind of them tbh.

They've posted, quite calmly, some genuine positive info but they're too subtle for the shouters to notice. People carrying such blinkered, and hateful, agendas are too thick to see what's in front of them and always believe they're in the majority as well as representing the correct point of view. No doubts in their minds, they're right and that's that. If they'd step back and think, for just a moment, they'd be able to see what's in front of them and recognise those two lads are telling it like it is. But just as always they're incapable of listening unless someone's shouting.

The wonderful Bob Paisley said that he'd always speak so softly that players would have to lean in to able to hear.
"And that's when you know they're really listening."

The other lads, I believe, are posting for all the decent people who really care about our club. They're not interested in a shouting match with the bitter clique of nasty minded pessimists who'd rather see the club fail if it proves their petty points.

Personally I care too much about the supporters, many of whom I'll see tomorrow, to make all this up. Not only that I'd be stupid to put myself in harm's way if it turned out I'd made it all up. There are hundreds, who know me or by sight, and they wouldn't be happy about being fooled for no good reason.

It's frustrating that the club announced, through the fanzines, etc, that everything was done but, in fairness, they're not used to dealing with the likes of 'Dell' who leave no stone, not even specks of dust, unturned. I said, at the start, they'd go through the club like a tsunami as I'd been told. That appears to be what's happening.

However, as I also said many times this process has gone too far to be reversed and I'm totally sure we'll hear the good news before too long. The last thing we all need is panic over rumours and people falling out. Everyone, with the club at heart, needs to pull together starting with an important game at Lincoln.

Donald and Methven obviously have their personal interests in mind but I genuinely believe they're doing a great job for SAFC and the supporters. I believe Donald 100% when he says he wants the best for the club as we all do. It's easy to post 'KTF' but this is a time to really keep the faith in my very humble opinion. Haway, let's grit our teeth and stick together ... this could be life changing for us all.

I think I’m inclined to believe Smug who’s info is backed up by a credible journalist in Nixon as opposed to some bellened on RTG who has an imaginary ex player mate.

The thing I find funny with rumours like that is what’s the obvious thing to do if something major happens at the club - oh yeah we’ll tell an ex player the news who has nothing to do with the club before anyone else.

Not sure mate, I'd have to look but you'd recognise the names.

Strangely though I don't think the Trolls would.

    Subtleties aren't their strong point.

One lad actually works at the club and not serving half time pints.

He's obviously safeguarding his job, and keeping his head down, but he's slipped a few things on there.

He hasn't posted on here but he registered to message me ...

    ... which was nice <laugh>

  19. The world is full of people who are sceptical of everything they themselves have no first hand knowledge of,and who then love to be able to be proved correct and to say...."see,...what did I tell ya?" By doing it,they support their own view of themselves, projected to others, that they're too shrewd and clever to be taken in by anything or anyone.
It's a no-lose position, usually adopted by cowards and ne'er-do-wells, who are devoid of expressing any hope or optimism, for fear of being seen by others to have been misguided or gullible. Happily, most of us can express hope for the future and deal with disappointment if it comes, shrug our shoulders, laugh at ourselves and move on. Sad,but not surprising, there are a few who delight in infesting our general good nature!
As and when this takeover gets completed and announced, they'll lay low for a while and then switch their attention to speculation as to the "real" motives of the new owners, how much money they "really" intend to invest, the "real" reason behind new appointments and so on and so on. It'll probably be that the new owners "really"want to demolish the stadium to build some state of the art factory to develop AI, or to send someone into space.
It'll be tedious in the extreme, but not entirely unexpected! :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'm still curious if and how Tony D fits into the club after the takeover.

As a MLF, the time spent at Spurs and how highly regarded he is I would like to think he will still have a role
