Is this the movie where it is finally revealed that Skinny Pete was the puppet master pulling all the strings in Breaking Bad?
Yeah one of those series I’ve just never got round to seeing. Had them all downloaded for about two years. I shall keep you updated.
The Irishman had its world premiere at the 57th New York Film Festival on September 27, 2019 and is scheduled to receive a limited theatrical release on November 1, 2019, followed by digital streaming on November 27, 2019 by Netflix. An epic gangster drama that earns its extended runtime, The Irishman finds Martin Scorsese revisiting familiar themes to poignant, funny, and profound effect. 2019 ‧ Drama/Crime ‧ 3h 30m 8.5/10 IMDb 92% Metacritic 100% Rotten Tomatoes IMDb lower than most as it doesn't have superheros in it.
I'm about half way through the second season of the wire, so far I prefer the first season. Of course I watched season 4 first
Another series which gets overlooked quite a lot which is great is Oz, a bit dated now and has a lot of the same actors from the Wire in but still great
The good thing about The Wire is that it's clear that there is an ongoing story that you're heading towards, they didn't just make it up each season therefore I've always looked at it as a singular story other than separate seasons. There are peaks and lulls in the story but you are always looking at the bigger picture and the characters that grow and change as you're watching.
Yeah I can see that. I am massively late to the party watching this so 95% of my friends have seen it and told me to watch it, interestingly they all said season 2 was by far the worst season which seems to go against the consensus on here, I'll watch them all and decide for myself
