I was surprised at how poor Sheffield Wednesday were. Particularly reading all the billy big bollocks on their website. Just a team of long ball merchants and not a very good one at that. Just goes to show what a mediocre division this is this season.

I’ve got to be honest tho and say I didn’t think we where that good for most of it , maybe masked by the delight of the goal . Too many times we miss the midfield and just tried hitting difficult balls to Bowen and Grosicki , just like the tactics of most schoolyards , let the 2 good players do it all .

I thought we mixed it up quite well and tried to keep the ball down for the most part. Aside from a spell in each half we were good value against a top half side.
    Onwards and upwards.

Interesting , a few people near us were complaining because we were keeping the ball and passing it around at the back
rather than just launching it long. I think in a team with Bowen and Grosicki the natural tendency would be to just try and
get the ball to them every time .

Just always thought we would win
But how did winnall? Miss that headerer?
The top 6 is a distinct possibility

I don’t mind long balls when played right , it just seemed to happen too often where just lumped it 40 or 50 yards towards Bowen or Grosicki , obviously trying to get it in behind but their defence just headed it clear . When we do get it down and play we look good, think we look better when Batty plays

There are more signs that McCann has changed the way we play. The hard pressing game is dialled down and we are playing a possession style that moves around the opposition to find gaps (or we dick around at the back too much, as some fans would have it). It's pragmatic and it's getting results. I like it.

I'd much prefer Battty (or Henriksen), Honeyman runs around a lot, but generally achieves very little.

How did Grosicki not make the most of that 1v1 to make it 2-0? I thought we were good value for the win. Never really seriously troubled by Wednesday.

I’d say it’s more likely we won’t win again this season than us making the top 6 come the end of the season.

They missed 2 sitters to be fair, that header and then the guy who blazed over in injury time . Thinking back it was a game of few chances overall tho

Because it wasn't from 30 yards out with a wall in front of him.

    Kamil only scores bangers.
