    Yeah. A year ago I'd have put Gomez above Matip, but the latter has come on so well he's higher up the pecking order now. Can't complain having Joe to come in though.

    I fi d it impossible to pick between the two at the minute, matip has improved no end but joe is so quick and strong.

    The fact that joe is only a baby in cb terms is amazing while matip is in his prime

    I've got quite high Hope's for a number of the youngsters and god forbid but our transfer policy has been very good recently, but it only stays good if we hold out for who we want. The moment we go back to accepting 3rd and 4th choice targets we will start to go backwards.

    I can remember seeing as much 5-6yrs ago when people on here were concerned about our knack of signings; I'd rather not sign anyone than sign someone for the sake of it. Wait for the right player to become available.

    There was a lot of concern on here at the start of the season over the lack of signings. We may find that that concern was warranted if we suffer from too many injuries - but it's clear that Klopp will only buy the players he wants.

    It must take balls of solid steel to see gaps in the squad and not panic buy, knowing a couple of injuries and your going to get slated
