At a lunchtime gathering of friends the other day I said to the women present that they must all be very proud of the dignified and correct way our women MPs have behaved over the last few weeks and that I had a new found respect for Caroline Nokes. They all agreed but to a woman they all loathed Leadsom.
Don't know about Being Extorted. He could be exported, to Devil's Island. At least that's not in Europe so he'd like that.
The laptop belonging to the latest alleged affair of Buffoon, has been stolen in the last 10 days, in the UK. Ms Arcuri is worried that the contents will be leaked, as it contains data relevant to the period of time she and Buffoon were “helping each other”. Mrs Badger wants to know if the laptop has been stolen by an ally of Buffoon.
This makes for an interesting read. It’s hard to believe some of the things the UK opposed. https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/n...ave-been-forced-on-us-against-our-will/22/01/
Brexiteers finally admitting they will have to set up custom checks in Ireland even if they get their ideal deal. Took them long enough.
Surely on this there couldn’t be any other outcome..........although in truth I would have preferred there not to be..........
Any customs checks on the Irish border will in a very short time lead to a resumption of the Troubles. Everyone knows that, the whole idea is madness.
But putting forward a plan, that will be rejected, will allow the media to dress it up as Johnny Foreigner foiling Her Majesties Government in it’s efforts to solve an unsolvable problem. Well it is solvable, if you leave things as they are but.......
Disgraceful. The whole thing. Still cant get my head around this whole thing, three years on. Such a huge backward step, in so many ways
Some DUP worthies got up in the HoC today to prompt the minister to say several times that the government wouldn’t impose a hard border, implying that if a hard border was imposed, it would be done by the EU. First of all, the EU has an absolute right to control its own borders to protect the Single Market. Secondly, it seems very strange that the UK, having persuaded a minority of the population to vote to “take back control of our borders”, wouldn’t want to do that in Northern Ireland. So yes, leaving things as they are would appear to be the only way forward.
Absolutely. If there is an upside to leaving the EU, I can't see it. It can only be the tax avoidance scam for the rich. Of course, no doubt the UK government will bear down on any poor people who've tried to make ends meet.
Yeah, woe betide any tradesman who does a bit of cash in hand work, being caught and made an example of, with the media exposing the tax cheating worker, whilst ignoring the “elite” who continue to ferret their fortunes away to some foreign tax avoidance location. I hate this country sometimes. Basically, business as usual.
