Yeah, it took a bit of a touch which explains A strange reaction but doesn't exactly cover THE strange reaction. Replays showed it was a slight touch but he had sight of it all the way and just 'flinched' you could say. I'm calling screw up because it would have been a straightforward enough save if he hadn't over-reacted. Not blaming the defeat on him because cancel out the goalie screw ups and we still lost 1-0.
RALPH Hasenhuttl revealed he has no idea why Cedric Soares pulled put of SaintsPremier League match at Tottenham Hotspur BEFORE the players had even warmed up. Wtf is going on!? Christ, from Tuesday hero to this .....
Like everyone else, I do not have a clue about this issues cause. I do feel that RH will be going through a thorough appraisal of on/off field issues in a more searching way than previously was the case. His post match reaction created in my mind that he’d seen things which he knows should not have happened and has a pretty good idea about a solution or two. He also knows that a pattern is emerging which is about a team which can really make their mark, but have to change, toughen up in key moments. Watching the second goal yesterday, I was aghast at the amount of space Kane had prior to scoring. Of all people you don’t need to encourage him to score. Clever in his part but defending like that is going to cost us again and I think that is where RH is going to demand and work for improvement, experimentation is I reckon over. Chelsea is going to be an interesting game!
Yep don’t disagree. Saw Kane’s goal at the Lane last year & he just ghosted in past all our defenders - anything learnt? Ralph has certainly got us more aggressive & mobile up front. Next & bigger challenge & it’s not the midfield!
Harry Kane scores dozens of goals each year. More often than not against the same teams. That’s lots of lessons not learned, or maybe a very good striker.
I'm a big believer in leaving a lot of leeway when analysing or speculating on managerial and backroom decisions due to the simple fact of how much information could potentially be missing from any given situation. However I really can't shake the feeling that Ralph is just getting too cute of late. Could be for any number of reasons but at this point it seems like he's tying himself up in knots. I struggle to see any of the headscratchers that have been posed as any real part of his philosophy, it seems improvisational and spurious. Tough games coming up and a big test of him as a manager. He needs to bring clarity to our approach and to the mentality of our players, everything right now seems... Muddled. I can't tell if he needs to be firmer on his principles and compromise less or to rein things back in and stop over-complicating things by deviating too far from reason and believing he can engineer unconventional fixes. But somehow things have gotten skewed. When he came in he made drastic changes with beautiful simplicity. We need to refocus back down to that simplicity.
Plus his goal came when they caught us on the break. Hard to organise your defence when everyone is running back.
