For the only the second time this season we showed real fight and unlike the other time against City we did not need luck. We defended brilliantly in the second half and managed the game really well. Lamela helped us win the ball back and put some real bite into midfirld. Winks was excellent and Sissoko was outstanding as a mske shift right back. We are a good team and showed that yesterday. You lot are miles ahead of where you were under Hughes and I think you'll cause teams some real problems this season.
I was probably a bit harsh there, but I wasn’t questioning either his sanity, or his analysis of football. I just think he could benefit from cheering up a bit. So I thought I’d take the piss, in the hope of getting a laugh. Didn’t work on you, obviously (and I think Brendy has me on ignore, so unlikely to work on him/her either).
Yeah, your defence restricted us to very few chances. We were more incisive against determined defending than we have been under our three previous managers, but struggled to find the final ball. And when we did threaten your goal, Lloris redeemed himself with a couple of excellent instinctive saves. Looks like you’ve found a real prospect with that Tanguy fella btw.
I just don't understand why we are allowed to be so negative about each other, but critique of a bunch of grown men in shorts chasing a piece of inflated leather is such a big deal.
Comments on the Internet often seem more ascerbic than they would in real life. Probably best not to take any of it too seriously.
On the BBC site, Ralph is complaining about his subs yesterday; not sure if it is the subs he selected to play or the lack of effort he got out of them for the last 10 minutes. He is also saying that he is disappointed with the teams lack of urgency over the last 15 minutes. Interesting times ahead
That looks remarkably like the formula for working out the distance between us and stars using parallax. The distance obtained is expressed in parsecs. #NotTheStupidTwin
They hadn't given up. Sorry, but that's nonsense. You're entitled to your opinion, of course - but in my opinion, you're talking bollocks.
Might as well be Archers... they are shots my mate sent me from his latest football coaching course. This chap is already UEFA A licensed qualified and is doing further qualifications. Some of the stuff he is doing is mind boggling.
Actually I can see it now. That equation in the first one says: If Left back = fit then goto midfielder If midfielder = fit then goto left back if right back = good then play left back.
OK, thanks for that! They had not given up. They had become so knackered from playing against 10 men that we completely ran out of steam.
