Honestly i'd snap your hand off for him in a heartbeat! He was regardless of the acrimonious departure one of the best players we have had, I also think he was happy up here! HOWEVER, obviously money speaks and more than that, a relationship with the manager is essential. Evidently Bruce has issues with strikers (KJ, Cisse, Bent, Gyan - even perhaps Waghorn?!) Facts are that he cant keep strikers happy. Yes strikers are arrogant bums who love themselves more than life itself, however if they are loved and looked after (in their opinion) they're essential. Look at Torres, most fans dont particularly like him, he cant get into the Spanish or now even the Chelsea team, which demonstrates my point. The managers have lost faith in him. If we can get another manager in, who loves DB I think he would come back - and I also think he wouldnt betray the same team twice - However he will leave Villa in the near future GUARANTEED! Agbonlahor is back and DB cant share the limelight! 20million is a good deal to get him back IMO
I'd have him back - on a pay-as-you-play deal. Knuckle down and score goals, get paid. Prima donna about and demand pay rises - immediately dropped. It's football science fiction of course, but I can but dream!
