Given the lad has continued where he left off last season I think it's only a matter of time until he gets poached by another team. We've been here several times before but this lad is a special talent. To say he's one of our top goalscorers in the past 18 months is something we never usually say about one of our CB's and for me it will add £££ to his value. So.. when and if, the likes of Arsenal, Spurs or the mighty Bournemouth come knocking.... what do you reckon his market value would be? Bear in mind the club are apparently going to offer him a bigger contract so he'll be tied in form longer at SJP... We have to be talking £30m+ surely?
I don't blame him tbf. He's too good for this team but I respect that he still fights for everything. Things will get better once Lejeune is fit and Longstaff gets back to his best. Then we actually have players who can pass a ball! Add that to a fit Ritchie and ASM and then the team actually starts to look decent.
