It's coming back. If you don't know it, it's a brutally satirical puppet show.

"There is nothing like a global political crisis, however, to prod a satirist out of semi-retirement. Twenty-three years after it was last broadcast, Roger Law, one of the co-creators of the groundbreaking comedy, has confirmed that Spitting Image is set to return to television screens – featuring an S&M-clad Vladimir Putin, Meghan Markle wearing a glittery “princess” T-shirt and a puppet of Donald Trump whose tweets are composed by his anus."

The creator of the show said he doesn't enjoy making it as 'it's a pig of a show to make'. But that the current political climate warrants doing it.

Should be brilliant as the creator states with the current political climate, there must be so much material to work with. Although having said that, I always thought it kept to current topic than past, so it's missed most of the best shhite.

Yeah it pretty much did. It mainly went for caricaturing certain characters and really exaggerating their worst traits. It was brilliant social commentary like nothing else as it captured what everybody was thinking but the news wasn't allowed to say.

The current bunch are absolutely ripe for this. I reckon it's got potential to be better than the original.

  8. I loved how it portrayed Norman Tebbit as a Nazi bully-boy enforcer for Maggie.

There was one after America bombed Libya in 1986 and clsimed no civilians hsd died eeven though western news crews filmed public buildings destroyed...that weeks Spitting imsge ended with Reagan taking a "precision" piss and drenching everywhere...was brilliantly done.

But their best had to be "I have never met a nice white south african" done at the height of Apartheid violence in the mid 80s .

The PC brigade will have a field day, unless they've toned it right down, in which case it'll be nowhere near as good as the original.

  15. The remake of the Police’s “Every Breath You Take” was great, very moving at the time.

Apparently the Trump character has his arse that talks to him and tells him what to tweet. Sounds like they are going to be as brutal as they were originally :)

And I don't think it will be the PC brigade who are up in arms either <ok>
