Agree with the vast majority of what you have said there clock but I thought Gooch put a canny shift in.
Yup totally unsure as to what JR was playing at.

Can't really fault Power for a second attempt at a screamer, but Maguire was wide, wide open with a clear path to the far post.

After 10 games, 1 loss, 4 draws and 5 wins
    5 points behind league leader.

Ross is going nowhere atm. Christmas next review date

Personally I would have subbed Gooch earlier. Presumably Hume came on cos the ex dirty Leeds lad was tiring.
Wyke does a job but needs someone to work with, 09 did at times
Power yellow and 09 yellow (could have been red), mind one of their yellows could have red also... both playing well, would have been a pity to sub them. Maguire got yellow for making his gob go.

well, i guess i hold my thoughts now, was hoping the first half could be a bit more of a turning point but simply cannot understand how the second half panned out, we were like the away team hanging onto a narrow lead when we really should have had the game out of sight, taken all the pressure off ourselves and enjoyed a game of football finally.

Yeah I thought Gooch had a pretty good game, didn't manage to create a goal but he came close and was a threat all game.

Have to agree that Ross' lack of substitutions was baffling, half the team was either knackered or on a yellow, or both, and he sits on his third sub until the 94th minute.

McGeouch was my motm, involved in everything great on the ball and can spot a pass.
Think it’s time big John gets dropped that goal was his fault Again imo. He was outstanding last season but this season he hasn’t been anywhere near last seasons form.

To be fair Connor McLaughlin was OK at RB. O9 was just a beast for 90 mins.

Thinking about the comments on the wireless driving home... the main point that came up with G Bennet and callers is a goal scorer. Wyke puts in the work, holds the ball and give the CBs hell, but does not look like a 15 to 20 goals a season player. Grigg is well Grigg, up till now a waste of money. Let's hope McNulty comes good.

Whilst I appreciate the point about clean sheets we need to score more goals, come back Maja all us forgiven?

Need a speedy winger, I may well be in the minority but Gooch, sorry not for me..let's hope Watmore does come good.

If we have the money a striker and winger in the Jan transfer window please.

This for me also 09 for me with Lynch a close second. Annoyed with maguire at times as he gives the ball away to easily and carelessly at times.

I think the conventional winger went out about 1966. We have both Hume and Embleton who can improve the wide positions imo.

A wins a win I suppose however you play over the 90.

Take the three points and move on. In the league we are clearly not firing on all cylinders which is frustrating at the moment. Hopefully soon we can start putting these teams to the sword.

good reading the comments tonight, no real 'having a go at someone just because he is the latest boo boy' but actual reasons behind peoples choices...good to see.

we seem to be well stocked with hard working players but i am picking up the same problems/faults as last season, mainly the final ball more often than not is a bad choice, a few times on the commentary it sounded like 'player A' got into a great position to pass to 'player B' but hurled a wild shot nowhere near the direction of the goal...i often feel that is the one side of the game (as a team) that would give us good rewards if they get it right.

cannot really complain with another three points on the board and what was an excellent first half team effort though, i just think that team is capable of much more.

We weren't able to make up any ground today, but the top of the table could shuffle in the next few weeks as Ipswich play their next two league matches against Fleetwood and Wycombe, and so do we, after Lincoln city.

After a very comfortable 2-0 lead, at half time, I fully expected us to grab 2 or 3 more goals in the 2nd half.
I really should have known better.
Once again, we looked so lacklustre during the 2nd half, and allowed the opposition to get a foothold in the game, and we inevitably conceded a goal.
The same thing, happened against Accrington, and Rotherham, recently, whereby we started the 2nd half poorly, and struggled to perform as well as we did in the first half.
We just don't seem to have the energy or the mental ability, to play two consistently good halves of football.
Am very happy with the win, and the three points, but we really ought, to be doing so much better, especially against such poor opponents.
