The Chairboys travel to Greater Manchester to take on Dale at Spotland for their eleventh league of the season looking for their first win on the road, Dale could have a few tired legs after their visit to Old Trafford on Wednesday but at least they didn't have far to travel, we all know about the two Premier League teams but there are six other EFL teams in Greater Manchester and Dale sit five miles north of Oldham and twelve miles east of Bolton with Bury slap bang in the middle and when you add Salford the fact that they are five miles south of Bury it comes as no surprise to see so many with money troubles although Dale are now sorted for this season. Gaz will be without Ofoborh suspended, Bloomfield Jacobson and Samuel are doubtful Pattison, Parker and Wheller are all pushing for a start. I won't be travelling but I will be expecting the lads to continue their good form and returning south with a result
#Chairboys XI: Allsop, Gape, Stewart, Wheeler, Pattison, Phillips, Thompson, Grimmer, Akinfenwa, Charles, Onyedinma. Subs: Yates, Jombati, Kashket, Mascoll, Aarons, Parker, Gardiner-Smith. #ROCvWYC
H/T and we lead 2-0, some fans there are fearing it will be abandoned because of the weather Rovers will love that!
I have no idea Ron, looking at the team & results it has certainly had a positive effect, & at the end of the EFL Podcast Ainsworth makes it plain where he thought we would be this season without the money.
I heard that the fixture was in doubt at one point with the rain. I thought the conditions would be ideal for your players given a soft pitch to lay down on....................... You are flying at the minute that's for sure. One positive is that even if the wheels do come off, and that isn't a certainty by any means, you are wracking up points now so that a dog fight at the other end isn't going to be an issue. Makes everything a bit less tense for everyone. Keep up the good work. (ps. We had 12 minutes extra time ourselves today)
Great result and very happy with our league position and 18 pts off the drop zone sorry I can't help checking where that line is and it looks like we are half way to safety
