That's the worst we've played in ages. Too many below par performances, couldn't pass or control the ball at all. Very lucky to get 3pts but... #signofchampions
the front 3 & Trent seemed to be in a weird who can be ****tiest competition . Thought Origi looked lively when he came on but that was perhaps because space was opening up .
Even VVD was poor today. At least three long balls that were nowhere near a liverpool shirt! Only four that weren't poor (but nor at their best) were Fabinho, Hendi, Matip and Wijnaldum.
I did say 'not at their best'. I missed Adrian. He was probably our best player today, says it all really.
Tough game. Trent been poor in a lot of games this season, I'm a massive fan of his but this Hollywood ball all the ****ing time is only good if you actually pass the ball to your man. Robbo was poor too. Again his passing was crap. Not a great performance from anyone really. Sweating until we got that goal, knew we'd see it out though so wasn't too worried about a 2nd. I'll take it.
This proves you cant give them a game off mid week otherwise they turn in a turgid mess of a performance the following weekend. Fair play to Utd tho, solid system that worked. Negated us out wide and we couldn't find any space in the middle.
btw The Berties on bluemoon are going bat **** crazy. there's one tat recon's it's an oversees betting syndicate that is paying goalies to throw the ball into the net. I fing luv reading their posts after we win.
Made hard work of that. Hope they're as vibrant and physical against City as they were against us today. No way are they the relegation certs that some commentators say. Think they'll be safe by Feb at the latest.
I will be the one to say it - terrible refereeing ...... and not impressed with some of Sheffield's tactics.
