... starring Mike Ashley as Baron Hardup and Peter Kenyon as Buttons Well it seems the whole pantomime is about to start again. Newcastle United takeover news LIVE: Peter Kenyon 'launches fresh bid' for NUFC with US backers Breaking news from ex-Newcastle employee Craig Hope .... desperate. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/all-about/newcastle-united-fc
Absolutely desperate. Its an old document, they have literally substituted "Benitez" for "Bruce". They know whats coming.....a git big red and white juggernaut.
I really do think the timing of the news of the Newcastle Takeover is dirty tactics propoganda at its highest level. Sunderland are immenently going to become one of the richest owned clubs in world football and stories have came out that Dell and co. Were on the cusp of buying Newcastle (allegedly) before a mysterious Arab put in a higher offer! Newcastle have just had their lowest attendance in 10 years so the timing of this stinks to high heaven (this is simply just to appease them lot up the road and get them to go out and buy peter kenyon face masks and memrobilia in the short term while our takeover is announced and settles down)
This brochure looks like a school project by a 9 year old. Craig Hope is a typical Mag with a history of snide little digs about Sunderland. It's typical that he should pull a cheap stunt like this. The local Mag journalists will be absolutely squirming when they're told to get off to the SOL and cover a major takeover by 4 billionaires
Whilst it is quite funny seeing them squirm there is a (semi) serious point here. The Newcastle PR machine is quite finely honed and has cultivated contacts that always seems to project them in a positive light, despite their obvious failings. They are utterly ruthless in emphasising the negatives for any area, or club, other than Newcastle. We could take some lessons from them as quite frankly some of our PR has been sadly lacking, even amateurish, we need to get smart and quickly. Hopefully the new owners will bring something to this area.
From what I've heard, and seen, these people will go through the club like a tsunami. There will be some employees, not on the bottom rung, clearing their desks today according to an acquaintance whose partner works with the administration of the club, not actually at the stadium. Sadly its needed. Our PR/Corporate/Sponsorship/etc needs a massive shake up.
unparrallelled ? success in europe, yep Pep and Jose will be worried about Steve now, he won two games with Hull in the europa league a couple of years ago ! but what has happened to our takeover ?
Apart from a statement from the current owners, the new company registered at the SOL, the appointment of a new director, the report of an imminent announcement by the BBC, the appearance of the new owners at a game, the return for the postponed Burton match, etc ... ... absolutely nothing.
