I've decided to do my bit and get rid of my car. It's a Delorean, and I only drive it from time to time anyway.
Watch Greta in the videos when she doesn't have a ready made speech that has been prepared for her and has to answer legitimate questions from the other side of the agreement. It might just make you realise that's she's just a puppet being used
Frankie Boyle is 47 years old and his net worth is £3.3 million. https://www.spearswms.com/frankie-boyle-net-worth/
No no you've got it all wrong " you're a great big stupid man-baby, tricked by an algorithm into taking your opinions from corporate power" Debate and conversation has taken on a religious fervour which ends with one side making stupid abusive and offensive statements which bring the possibility to have a reasoned argument to a halt.
...but it ought to make you realise she is a young person diagnosed with Asbergers, OCD and selective mutism who is passionate about a subject which she has been campaigning for alone for years and who copes with her conditions by making sure her speeches are well prepared beforehand.
A No, it just shows that like many who are as far to one side as she is on this issue, that they are totally blinded and can't accept other peoples views or actually have open debate on the issues. If you haven't seen it then go and watch the videos, she's sitting in a panel up on a stage for a Q&A and just can't / won't answer anything that is remotely opposite from her view
You know, with everything that's wrong with the World, I find it baffling you choose a sixteen year old girl trying very hard to fight for something she clearly believes in (this planets wellbeing ffs) to have a problem with? Can't you think of anything more worthy to gripe about? There's a massive list.
On the subject of coal Australia tops the worldwide list of exporters, having sent 298 million metric tons of coal overseas in 2010. Indonesia and Russia ranked second and third, exporting 162 and 109 million metric tons respectively. The U.S. came in fourth globally, having shipped 74 million metric tons beyond its borders that same year. Reliance on Coal South Africa relies most heavily on coal, taking 93 percent of its electric power from this energy source. China and India also rely heavily on coal for substantial amounts of their energy, at 79 percent and 69 percent, respectively. The U.S. takes 45 percent of its electricity from this source, ranking it 11th on the global list of countries that generate power from this source. It has been the fastest growing energy source worldwide in the 21st century, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA)
to put things into context - China is the largest coal user, burning around 3000 million tonnes per annum - the UK is around 10 million tonnes - we're a small drop in a very large ocean - UK coal burn will cease completely for power generation in the next few years but whatever replaces it will undoubtedly use coal in some respects such as steel mills making wind turbine blades etc - I think were passed the point of no return
Huh? You were questioning why she has speeches prepared, but doesn’t do well in general questioning, and suggesting that meant she was being used as a puppet. I explained why that is likely to be, and that there is a reasonably held view, using the reasons I gave, as to why she may not be being used as a puppet. Now your saying she doesn’t do well when generally interviews because she’s not accepting of others views?! What is it you’re actually trying to say?...you seem to be contradicting yourself
The first post is incoherent ‘whataboutery’ nonsense Kemp. Read it that way and it should make, err, sense. Sort of.
He's talking like a 'beller' - she isn't trying to 'guide global policy-making'. What she's trying to do is prick consciences with a size 10, hobnail boot, it's working, she's being attacked for daring to 'accuse'.
So why doesn't she go lecture Ji Xinping, President of the largest polluting country in the world? We all know the answer to that. Meanwhile in China they have just opened this, one of over 50 airports they have built with another 25 under discussion whilst we have been discussing building one extra runway. Of course we in the UK have to stop flying, driving cars and eating meat as otherwise we will be responsible for the extinction of the polar bears, the icecaps melting and worldwide famine whilst China and elsewhere carry on. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/...s-huge-Beijing-airport-serve-travel-boom.html
