Poch has said there are 'different agendas' in the squad which is leading to them being **** "Uncertainty around the futures of influential players, including forward Christian Eriksen and defenders Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld left Pochettino eager for the 2 September European transfer window deadline to pass so he had certainty about his squad. But with none of those players leaving - plus Eric Dier falling out of favour - Pochettino said a group that has been largely stable during his five years at Spurs now needs a period of certainty." Called it lat season when I said that this current team has peaked and would now begin to break down. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49820240 #calledit
I have a vested interest in this wager, as I have a bet with your good self Slurpy. so IF Arsenal finish above Spurs, and Spurs finish above United then you both will need to change your avatar this could be comedy gold, but I don’t think Matth has the balls to back his outbursts
End of the season. He's done really well for Spurs but the spark has gone - players not coming in, ones in are not working so well. I've said many times Spurs should have capitalised on the quality squad they have had over the past 3-4 years - invested and won the league then built a stadium. Now they run the risk of the manager and a fair few players going and they're left with a nice stadium and a missed opportunity. Its a shame as it was an entertaining team and something a bit different - plus quite a few English players.
Don’t you worry, Sharp. It’s only a handful of players causing the problem. Clearly, Poch had hoped to get all the ins and outs sorted this Summer, but it proved impossible. His latest comments demonstrate a welcome realism and practicality, and show that he is prepared to bide his time. We will be great again. The Academy and the new Stadium are not going to disappear. The club is a much bigger club than it ever was before, and we are entitled to believe in a prosperous future.
Yeah there is nothing to say Spurs will never be as good as they were say 2 years ago but it will require substantial investment and a good new manager if Poch goes. Its asking a lot and the competition is the league is massive. That Leicester year was the year for Spurs.
Poch has just admitted that the squad has begun to break down due to ‘different agendas’ ****in’ hell Kips you are **** at this
Levy is probably quite happy with the way everything is currently going at Spurs. Realistically, he's not going to sack the club's most successful manager this century, just for failing to win a trophy. Failing to win trophies is, after all, the Tottenham way.
I don’t think it’s going to take “substantial” investment, as we already have a lot of decent players. Our only real necessity is to replace Eriksen, and find a creative play-maker. As for Poch, he has made it clear, time and time again, that he has absolutely no intention of leaving. He ****s with the press, but any idiot can see that he and Levy are as thick as thieves. Poch’s latest comments indicate that he is prepared to bide his time until the squad gets sorted.
