Exactly my point. We lose Matip? It's fine. Hendo gets injured for a month? No problem. Fullbacks, any of our forward three? Our only quality DM in Fabinho? We've got nothing. I'm in the anti-Origi club too; he's a hero for last season, but my god I'll be worried if he's replacing Firmino for 2 months due to injuries. Which is why I say we're relying on luck to get us through this season, not just a case of heralding Klopp's genius in not buying anyone this summer apart from Adrian and a few kids. Faith in kids is fine, but if you're not going to give Brewster any minutes in comfortable games, he won't be ready when/if we pick up injuries.
fully agree and something us & others have been banging on about for 9 months now. Still peeved that Brewster wasn't on bench against Norwich since it was a game when it was fair to presume we may have a clear lead allowing us to blood him in the PL .
I was listening to RedmenTV earlier, they were talking about tomorrow's game and possible lineups but also mentioned about the youth/fringe players and them needing minutes beyond the occasional cup game against lower league teams. Newcastle, Burnley or Norwich were all games we could have given some kids 15/20minutes at the end to ease them in and get some sharpness up but we haven't. Or Burnley, or Newcastle. All games where he or another could have been given a quick 15/20minutes of competitive play. U23s is nowhere near the same level
yep if you think you may need them to step up as starters you have to give them some experience both to get them used to the levelo but also to integrate them into the team.
Slanderous rumour I heard from the taxi driver taking us to Manchester Airport on Sunday. He had a job on friday taking a liverpool player from Manchester to liverpool from a nightclub. This player is currently out injured with a knee problem, but he isnt. He failed a drugs test in the summer, or he would have been loaned out again. He was absolutely wasted on friday, though he is on a home curfew by the club whilst currently being suspended without pay for breaking his contract. If you haven't worked out who it is yet, I was one of many who owe klopp a big apology for loaning him out last January when we had no cover in his position. Hes a former international who has snorted his ****ing career away up his nose, and he was once very, very talented. Apologies again Jurgen. We should have known better.
This taxi driver was a red, and he was adamant. Said he was even laughing about his supposed injury. 28 years old, and three years ago he was the best rb in the country. Now he flies over to the US in the summer to spend time with gangsters and rappers. Heart-breaking.
Why can they not just terminate his contract. If there is evidence surely there will be a clause which refers to reputation of company/club ?
I doubt they want the press intrusion, happy to just let his contract run down and see him waddle of into the distance when the time comes.
I kept saying he wasn't injured prior to that loan too. No reports of being injured but nowhere to be seen
I am guessing recreational drugs then performance enhancing ones. I am surprised no one in the press has picked up on this as there have been a lot of the same rumours before.
Liverpool are being tipped to sign James Maddison from Leicester City in January as a long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
Pretty sure it is just hearsay. If there was evidence he would be gone. A precident was set with Chavs sacking Mutu for recreational use and Clyne would not have a leg to stand on.
So said player told a random cabbie that he had failed a drugs test, has a curfew from the club and is suspended without pay? Who knows it it’s true, but I’m not sure anyone if they even were in that situation would go around and tell random people that... instead of just saying ‘I’m injured’
yeah but i was just correcting the "nowhere to be seen" bit of your post as i deffo saw him play both RB & LB. #pedanticAir
