From being heavily in the 'trust Poch' camp , I am decamping into Poch out. Win a trophy? Can't beat a division 2 team
Poch not interested.Ericson couldn't care less. Moura...that's a surprise! Colchester win...no surprise. Oh you League Cup Winners of long ago.....when we all cared. RIP.
How bad can this get? No pace, no fluency, no composure, no skill, no leadership. No feckin' clue. The decline over the past few months has been clear and we've highlighted it all on here.... Weelk after week, game after game. To say this is a crisis is not an exaggeration.
I think this game is the beginning of the end... I predict we'll whimper out of the CL at the group stage, continue our indifferent PL form and Poch will be gone by Christmas. Sad, sad times to be a Spurs fan.
Like I just said on the PL board A part of me is glad because this **** needs to come to a head because changes are due and reasons are required. Off to have a spliff
Glad we're out with the way we've been playing this season. Pochettino needs to stop sulking though and start doing his job. We've been disorganised and uninspired too often this season and the consequence is that we're 8 games in with 2 wins.
You think he'll last that long? His old team Southampton on the weekend, who just had a big boost. Football loves that sort of ****.
I think Real will either come knocking or the moment Levy gets a sniff that CL qualification is seriously at risk, he'll be gone.
This should've been a game to get some morale back, instead it's just put us into probably the worst state we've been in since AVB/ Tim. Really don't know what to say. Think like TCM said it's best I just leave it here for now before saying anything rash.
We haven't won a domestic away game since January. That's about 5 Prime Ministers ago! Something is majorly wrong, as I suggested bloody ages ago. I think we need to be told what happened, but we won't. Levy's patience will wear thin soon and he'll pull the trigger.
I hope not. I really hope not. If he does, the main reason will be that he had too much to fix and not enough time to fix it in. Of course, he should be raising the team to produce better performances than the shower of ****e we're now subjected to 3 weeks out of 4, but ultimately we are now paying a heavy price for chronic under-investment in the squad and abysmal handling of key contract situations. The end result is a group comprised of a bunch of players who don't want to be here, a bunch more who the manager doesn't want to be here, a bunch more who haven't adapted to being here and a bunch more who have been shocking for years now yet are still here. It's no wonder we're in such a mess. And I don't see any easy way out. Changing manager in January certainly isn't it - not with the squad in need of such extensive body work.
Just remember what you said on Sunday - at least you're not Utd. League 2 teams are fit, physical, organised and well drilled. League 2 is a war of attrition. What they can't handle is pace, movement and slick passing - which a top PL should show in these games in abundance. It's a lack of confidence more than anything on the back of some bad results and a number of players being unsettled. At least Spurs have players who are proven.
I don't think that it's down to the players or a lack of investment. The team selection and tactics have been consistently poor for months.
