So happy to see Dier back in the team too, really hope he shows his old form because as most us have said during pre-season and in recent weeks, 2014-2017 Dier is the best possible partner for Tanguy.
It's interesting that Dier captains the side, given the fact that he has barely played for a year and even more so the fact that Alli has worn the armband previously in the competition. I would've thought him or Davies would be first choice for the captaincy. Maybe, just maybe, there is a path back for potato head. As you say, Dier circa 2015-17 is the best possible foil for Tanguy.
Is this being televised anywhere? Any dodgy arab or chinese broadcasters picking it up? I tried and failed to get tickets and would love to see the youngsters in action. Any streams let me know.
Yeah I've been trying to scour the web but can't find anything other than fake links that try making you sign up. Highly doubt there'll be one available as I don't think it's being televised from any country but if anyone fancies being a hero, help ya boyz out!
THINK I MAY HAVE ONE! If you have an iPhone/ iPad (not sure if on other devices) download Live Sports Plus, symbol has a football inside a yellow circle. It's has a few adds you need to watch but once done, click Live Football > England Football > CUFC vs THFC. Stream is in Russian but it's a still a stream, just hope it holds!
Update: So far the stream works but it freezes every 2-3 mins (tad annoying, I know) but if you come out and reload it, it works. Best I can do so far.
While I'm against THE INFERNAL MOTHERFUCKING DIAMOND one thing that does occur to me is we may have hit on a better balance, as we have Dier & Wanyama screening Skippy - which is similar to Juve's midfield from five years ago where Vidal and Pogba screened Pirlo The obvious issue, however, is neither Dier nor Wanyama are exactly going to fill in the Pogba role...
