Should of won, but it's one more point on the tally

    Should have been the 3 points really, we never got going till a few minutes into the second half but when we did we looked excellent. Cabaye hit the bar and had a great volley saved, as well as missing a great chance in stoppage time. Man of the match by a mile and he's another little gem like our Cheik. Defence had one or two shaky moments but confident on the whole, and what can I say, Krul fills me with confidence. Another great performance. Without Shay Given we would have run away with the game, a little annoyed we couldn't gain max points but I'd of took that before the game so onto the next match feeling pretty confident!

    Yep, very pleased with our display today. Cabaye is well and truly cemented as my favourite toon player in years now. Gutted we didn't win it but one more point away from home will do nicely.

    We deserved the win, but we deserved to lose on Monday. The universe is balanced again. We also stopped a worrying run of losses at Vile Park

    Never got going until the second half? We bossed/controlled the game from start to finish deserved all 3 points, best football performance from us this season.

    Cabaye looked deadly - only so long before he scores his first for us. Ba seems like he's going to be a real asset once he gets his West Ham form back. Cheicks back in the land of the living post-Ramadan - he wasn't giving away possession so much.

    Marveaux made some excellent runs and showed his quality; and perhaps even more importantly, Best scored yet again - if he keeps this up, regardless of whoever we (hopefully) acquire as a striker in the future, we'll have a solid backup striker/strike partner. I'd agree things are looking quite good. Apart from Obertan.

    Was I the only one who had a little smile when Shay saved that piledriver from Cabaye (who was sexy and awesome today)? All I could think was all the times he did that for us!

    I was worried that we could fall apart when Villa scored but we started to dominate more and should have scored more than one. Was a good game though, and the fans were ****ing fantastic!

    Cabaye and Tiote in the middle looks solid, Blackburn at home next and we're still unbeaten. I wonder how long this run can go on for...<whistle>

    Cabaye looked a different class today, has to be stand out player of the game.... Was very pleased with cameo's from Marv and S.Ameobi, the defence looked solid for most of the game......... Feeling very positive today!!

    Yeah like I said in a past post, Cabaye's passing especially long range is phenomenal. Watched him when he played for Lille last season and he can be as good as Scholes on his day. Think he has a lot more to show ...

    Yup. This replacing "have" with "of" is getting is getting out have hand.

    Cabaye was just unbelievable all game really. His passes are genius, seem to be telepathic and his shots were unreal. Villa should thank whoever decided buying Given was a good idea.
