I doubt you'll field your first XI either. That nearly always backfires at some point during a cup run and produces a 'shock' result that isn't really that much of a shock. We have Oxford away, we'll treat it like a pre-season friendly and get ****ed for sure.
It all depends on who want's it the most . IMO that will be Pompey . Not saying we won't want to win , but that place ( never been there ) I hear it is like the Dell . Real atmosphere .
I don't think anyone genuinely thinks it will be easy, Fratton on a Tuesday night in this weather is a hell of a leveller imo. I'd love a big win of course, but any (bar penalties) will absolutely do.
Lol... think Ralph's goodwill that he's built up would quickly evaporate with some if we don't get a strong enough team here and get done as a result.
Calm down mate, if Jack Stephens plays tonight he will be fine, in fact it may be just the sort of game that he will thrive on.
Imagine playing a mixture of kids and back ups and winning, the piss taking potential is massive. Worth it for me And if we lose can just say “yeah but played back ups and kids” Win/Win
I think that's a bit of a whooooosh moment mate I would have to disagree though, I'll be shutting myself if he's on the team sheet.
ha ha ha i know ive noticed ! imo Stephens isnt that bad a centre back, but he does drop some almighty clangers at times. Against Pompey at Fratton Park though, i reckon he would be right up for it.
Yeah that second one isn't a win. We owe these ****s one and it's about time we delivered in one of these matches.
We'll agree to disagree, one of the huge advantages here for us is we have players of PL quality, so it seems senseless to me to play someone of a worst quality who would ultimately struggle to get into their side.
