once again JF, you have my sympathies ...... Malotru has the misfortune of carrying my shekels Edit: And another stroke pulled at Ayr. For Golden Apollo to be just 12-1 is ludicrous given his form in the last 2 years. We all know that most stables do this, but that doesn't make it any less annoying
ayr,3 50: GOLD CUP very much a lottery, with countless chances, but ive backed SUMMERGHAND in the st wilfred ,and he ran a real stormer there in second..the winner has turned out to be top class,so with a clear run today, shouldnt be too far away again..
Each way money landed on FLYING PURSUIT covering all bets today. The place double with INTISAAB will be nice if he can make the first 5.
Anyone here a Watford fan? Seem to think there is one .... they are down 5-0 after 18 mins to Citeh ... oops!
Oh well - last race for me .... c'mon Hey Jonesy and also Aricebo ..................... 1st and 2nd wouild be nice I've got both in ew doubles with 3rd placed Gibb's Hill, so a return of some sort if either gets in the places
Nah - never heard of Watford Backed Good Effort in the Ayr Gold Cup. Everything Watford's performance isn't...
5 winners from 6 selections last week; 0 from 9 this week. No wonder I'm a bit loopy Good luck if you are playing on - I'm done!
Pierre Lapin was quite impressive in the Mill Reef. Impressor started slowly then showed a good bit of speed but he simply folded like a concertina and dropped back quickly. Mystery Power seemed outpaced at one stage but he kept on gamely for second place. I suspect his OR of 111 is a little generous and two horses rated in the 90's followed him home today. Orlaith disappointed in 4th place. She was weak in the betting at 6/1 and there was no indication that the betting public shared the jockey's confidence in her today. Rose Of Kildare won on what was her 11th run of the season and justified trainer Mark Johnston's "Throw enough **** at the wall and eventually it will stick" tactics. In the Ayr Gold Cup Summerghand ran another very solid race in 4th place, while Louie De Palma landed the place money for me at 25/1 in 6th place. I'll take 4th and 6th in a race like that. Hey Jonesy was crazy odds but Buffer Zone had to be one of the silliest bets in history. 10/3 in an Ayr Gold Cup? Ffs take some sanity pills people. The ITV team were patting themselves on the back for advising people to take 9/2 and observing that he was touching 3/1 in places. Get a grip for Christ sakes. Most firms are offering BOG now and what they should have been advising was a check up with the local Psychiatrist for backing at odds suggesting a near 25% certainty of winning a 24 runner Handicap where the Favourite is pretty much the last horse you want to be on based on the stats. Not a bad day, I thought for a few seconds that Louie De Palma might just do it but the cavalry were coming. I had ruled Angel Alexander out early because I thought he was a 5F horse but he has been progressive, mainly at Chester, and has probably improved 2 stone now since the beginning of the season. He certainly got the 6F in strong fashion today.
Converts to your previous weeks selection Stick.Watford have had a terrible start to the season but they have enough decent players to keep them up. Everton look very ordinary and Silva could be next manager to get the bullet( David Moyes waiting on speed dial!)
