Our old nemesis - giving the ball away.

I hope you're right, China. I just don't see it happening. We are not looking sharp at all. IMO.

I saw enough in the last 15 to suggest that we can get something, they were beginning to pass it about much better, but have to keep the ball away from our own penalty box far better - as you said - Our old nemesis - giving the ball away.

Shabby game. We do not play well against Claret wearing teams

From the results so far this season it looks like we can match any team in PL at home. However, it seems that our away form is likely to be erratic, if not poor. After last weeks result I suspect most fans will be disappointed.

back down to earth with an uncomfortable bump

Terrible defending, we have to do better. Burnley could have easily had a couple more, but all because we make it so easy for them.

Once you put yourself down a goal in the premier league, you rapidly discover that trying to find a way back in against these defences is extremely difficult.

Back to the drawing board, because we still really can’t cope with a big man up top against us and teams willing to hack us down.

This is exactly what I feared after the euphoria of last weekend, but well played Burnley, they did their homework this week.

Try again at Palace next week :emoticon-0127-lipss

    Reality check.
If we had lost to Man City,as we all expected,
and travelled to Burnley and won,we would
    be happy.
    Keep the faith guys

Not a good day lots of poor passes and very little attacking play.
We will struggle against these physical sides .
I would rather win home games and lose away than pick up draws but we don't look good away .

I think the physicality or "cuteness" as the media loves to describe it comes with experience. It's a long season and knowledge of how the league "works" is an important one for the team - we are still naiive when it comes to dealing with the rough and tough (which Man city don't do cos they are too good). In short, sometimes we have to be nasty to win methinks

It's frustrating when you get kicked off the park with impunity, referees offer no protection <grr>

Need to sort out our away form but obviously all these injuries isn't helping us. I don't feel disappointed though, would have taken 6pts from the start of games we've had.

I called 2-0 to my mate this morning. Disappointingly predictable. We don't look up to it away from home at the moment.

Oh well, next game. Was never going to be easy at Burnley.

Worryingly, will be the same kind of game at Palace next!
