The aero and floor package have done wonders for Ferrari onone lap on low fuel however during the long runs yesterday weren't Mercedes well ahead of everyone else with a heavier fuel load?
Holy moly. Did not see that coming at this circuit. Let’s see how race pace goes tomorrow, but Ferrari fighting at the front really does mix it up a bit tomorrow!
I had this feeling Ferrari had something up their sleeves. This is brilliant by leclerc though and he will still get better
Much as I would love it , I cannot see a Ferrari winning tomorrow . If CLC wins , I will be very pleased .
I am convinced Lewis will make it 6 world championships this year but I am doubting his seventh will be easily obtained. The second half of this season has made up for the earlier boring feast. I also think, the new aero package Ferrari have brought to Singapore is thought to be able to restore Sebs driving, i.e. Seb is blaming the aero for his mistakes. If Ferrari rise to the top next season, Sebs main challenger maybe Charles and Charles has earned the right to make that challenge without either driver receiving favouritism (I hate american spellcheck! Time they recognised the correct spelling). This would explain Seb's recent comments and confidence. For me though, Charles ability to extract what Seb could not from the car speaks volumes. Last year we saw Mercedes bring forward aero packages intended for this year to secure the championship. I can't see them needing to do that this time but keep any surprises they may have developed for 2020.
Riccy disqualified from quali! Something to do with mgu-k overpower! Pity as we want to see Renault and McLaren racing but techy rules are rules.
Good to hear that Correa is being woken from his induced coma, whose condition is now classified as serious and NOT critical. I am no expert (just family experience of a coma) an induced coma is very different to a real coma so hopefully that waking will go according to plan, depends as to why they induced it in the first instance, I guess. They have still to operate on his lower right leg. Fingers crossed he makes a good recovery.
I sort of agree, though I think you have it the wrong way round if that did happen. I’d say Charles’ main challenger may be Seb.
If I was Mercedes, I'd be worried. Ferrari had the fastest car in a straight line, now they have aero for slow speed corners. Regulations are pretty stable for next year so Mercedes need a big aero upgrade for next season or even now. In the battle between the 2 Ferrari drivers, I would expect Charles to leave Seb behind quite comfortable. Lewis will always be the defacto challenger at Mercedes as he is simply above everyone else they could put in. It's a shame for Ricciardo, as he being paid a huge salary to be an also ran at Renault, Mercedes should have binned Bottas and taken him instead, at 30 he will soon be making up the numbers. Alonso was world champion at 24, Hamilton 23, Vettel 23. As for the race today, if the Mercedes is far faster in race trim as per Fridays long runs then expect Lewis to win.
Hopefully it should be interesting, Mercedes look fast in race trim but... but, how on earth will Hamilton overtake a far faster in a straight line car around a street circuit. In monza with a tow and DRS the Ferrari still had an higher top speed!
