whilst we only fielded a number of youth players , some fringe players and a sprinkling of first team players in the cup game .They ran rings round us. they looked a good team with some skillfull players and looked dangerous going forward. i am a bit suprised they are not higher up the table as it is Town are one position higher by one point but have played one more game than them.

i expect this to be a tough game whilst we found our goal scoring boots against southend , our defence was less than convincing and we missed Norburn when he whent off.

two possible doubts are Cummings and norburn, with Edwards ankle swelling after a game i would be suprised to seehim play a full game so he may come on as a sub.

"Ollie has only just come back in and played two games in a couple of days having not played for so long so it's a question of can he recover in time.

"Jason Cummings gave everything on Tuesday and to be fair you could see he was running out of energy after half an hour so we'll have to just gage him and see how he gets through the next couple of days."

"It will be a hard game. They are a good side. We played them earlier in the cup albeit without a full-strength squad. What you can see is they are a side with a lot of championship quality as they were playing there last year. They have a lot of good stuff about their game so it should be a really good game, it's quite interesting, we've played a game more but they are slightly below us in the league."

i think town will do well to get a point

if cummings is rested i would like udho to start .it may seem harsh but Edwards has not impressed me this season(whilst i whould love to see him end his career on a high note, i think his body has had enough) so if Norburn is rested who do we play Walker has not exacly shone,Thompson is not fully fit so would not play a whole 90 minutes.Vincelot is still injured.Rowlands could come as a sub but i dont think it would be fair to start him.

we fielded an attacking line up against Southend and made a bright start .so it will be intresting to see who ricketts picks.

Cummings was flagging by half time, if he does not start which is likely then I guess we will see him come on to cause ultimate grief in the second half.

as you Cummings still has some training to do to get fully fit , lang on the other hand looked as if he had plenty to spare

    www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/opposition-insight-new-look-rotherham-united-side-with-same-old-paul-warne-philosophy-visit-chesterfield-this-afternnon-485374

" Rotherham have stacked their squad with attacking options and have gone with a 4-3-3 line-up since reporting back from their summer break.under Warne and the spirit, work ethic and hard running that have characterised Rotherham since the fitness coach stepped into the hot-seat two and a half seasons ago "

town need to start brightly , not do anything silly in there own third, if we can keep a clean sheet untill we get to grips with Rotherham and see if we can silence the home fans then who know what could happen

Rotherham look a threat going forward and town deserve credit for closing down so well, sound like they are well drilled and making things tough for Rotherham who have been limited to only a few chances laurent covering a lot of ground to cut out a lot of threats.

lang chasing down a lot of lost causes and making a nusance of himself, Giles mad a nice run and the shoot forced a save leading to a corner, a lst minute tackle prevented whalley from shooting, norburn seem to be working well together as town have tried to hit them on the break. t is a hot day so this game might tell on the eneregy levels in the second half .

comentators were saying the locals were starting to get restless as the half progressed.

a good point for town who worked incredibly hard on a hot day to frustrate rotherham, Carlton morris missed there best chance and a very good save from O'leary, Cumings gets some more minutes under his belt .

thought the booing from the home fans was rather harsh

on there fans forum town accused of been dull and stoping them playing there game ? i thought one of the things you do when playing away from home is to stop the opposition from playing there game ! as for dull i thought we did well

our defence was a complete conreast to the southend game were we loked very wobbly and failed to close down. in sharp contrast in the rotherham game town sounded well organized and well drilled.

We went with a defensive setup and it worked. Supposedly they did that quite a bit last season 8n the Championship.
