Hmm, the exposure is probably a factor in the likelihood that we are about to have new owners. If it did affect our end of season position it could be a blessing in disguise.
Bollocks. They were filming all season, why was it that only the last 6 games that saw a big drop in form?
That's what I was thinking, any harm done was more than offset by the good it did for the brand. I haven't watched the series but I don't think there were cameras in the dressing room and on match days there are cameras everywhere so what's the big deal. Pro footballers learn to deal with a lens stuck in their mush from a young age.
https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/pl...open-up-about-ellis-short-tease-season-three? Season 2 out in Feb, if Netflix stick to the plan. Sounds like it's going to be an interesting one. I wonder if they will ever release the Short interview?
Honeyman had much more to do with Sunderland's relegation from the Championship than Netflix, and he'll do his best to relegate Hull as well - 300 minutes so far, no assists, no aerial duels won.
What a terribly spiteful/uncharitable post that is, Hefty The Honeymonster's no more to blame than any other player for where we are, yet you seem to lay an awful lot of blame on such a young lad, who was a very small piece of that particular jigsaw He's only a little fella, too, so he's not going to win many, if any, aerial duels, but you wouldn't pick on Goochy Coochy Coo (who is also a little fella - sorry, a little American fella), would you George is not a very good player, and he's definately not captain material, but he's not a bad player, either (he certainly wouldn't get nominated for a worst ever S.A.F.C. team), so I don't understand your vitriol towards him It was right that he left S.A.F.C., but I wish him well, like I do with most ex S.A.F.C. players, whoever he plays for (with one exception, of course)
Honeyman's getting regular games in the championship and Hull's fans seem content with him, either they and the manager are all insane (possible) or he's a better player than he got credit for when he was here.
Honeyman just became one of those players that is used as a scapegoat. Did a good job on occasions and made a good contribution. Just not a stand out player.
Not spiteful at all. Honeyman played in 42 of the 46 matches that season. He had 37 starts at arguably the most influential position on the pitch and he had two assists for the entire season. Gooch, who by the way isn't one of my favorite SAFC players, only had 12 starts that season and chipped in with three assists. Beyond that, of all the footballers I have ever seen, Honeyman is the one who makes me ask, "how is this guy a professional football player?"
