    19 September 1964, Spurs 1 WBA 0.
    Greaves.

Seem to remember the headline was '2 poor sides but Spurs have Greaves'.

That was a poor Spurs team. I can remember a player we'd bought as a center forward.Bloody awful! They moved him to center half.....Laurie Brown.Ex Arsenal....of course! Another booby we got at that time from Arsenal was winger David Jenkins. What were they thinking?

Thankfully Spurs bought Alan Gilzean about 3 months after this match.

Cheers Spurs4 I'll do that when I have plenty of spare time. I wondered if any of the old stuff had captured the singing of Glory, Glory?

Very few ladies there (in those days!!?) Plenty in the Royal Box. I was in a room behind the Royal Box. Each time we scored,I was the only one to jump up....the others weren't Burnley fans. They were just there for the occasion!Disinterested!!!

Thanks so much for that SD,I was transported back to 20 years old again! I still have the programme & song sheet. Used to love that community singing, the chap in the white suit led it for years, everyone joined in, (although I don't suppose the Burnley fans were singing Glory, Glory)<laugh> They were our great rivals in those days so that was a. sweet victory. Another good old knees up down Tottenham High Road for the second year running, those were the days! Were you there Bigsmithy? Oh tonight we'll merry merry be, tomorrow we'll be sober was one of the many quaint old songs we all belted out at top volume <laugh> Lovely times... COYS

Oh yes. But not to the small hours! Nice open top bus celebrations.

Did you notice trolleybus wires in 1961 …..gone by 1962.
Nice clean trolleybuses replaced by stinky buses!

    Double in 1960-1.
FA Cup in 1961-2 (Could have been the European Cup as well, but for a crooked deal in Portugal!) *
    European Cup Winners Cup 1962-3.
Couldn't repeat because of Dave Mackay's broken leg at Old Trafford(!).

    Memories!

    * To be repeated in 2018-19 in Madrid.

On this day 8 months ago, we won away from home in the PL (v Fulham, courtesy of a last-second Winks goal).

We haven't won away from home since.

    Eight months.

We'd failed to win two away games at that point and one of those was reffed by Mike Dean, so it doesn't count. 11 wins, 2 losses.
We lost all of our remaining Premier League away games (6) and have drawn both this season, though they were against the filth and City.
