As if the Warren Farm news isn't bad enough... http://www.standard.co.uk/news/lond...ded-a-mess-in-sadiq-khan-review-a3383996.html
The football being played there would be a mess if we do finally get a new stadium built at Old Oak...
We need to lobby to hold the Olympics there. Then the public will pay £ hundreds of millions to turn it into a bespoke football ground for us
Little point of thinking about a new stadium IMO it's all fluff and will be remembered at a TF publicity stunt Can you even digest the nativity of what was said at the time by TF QPR has employed the very best project team in London ... How's that all going?
The easiest way for us to get the stadium sorted is to buy all the houses on Ellerslie Rd (hopefully the club could do a deal) and rebuild. However for TF and there is no money in that so they look to turn us into a souless bowl like Reading at OOC.
BBC headline today that Old Oak Common regeneration may not happen. Good news for us or bad? Can't imagine owners wanting stadium in isolation from regeneration. On the other hand, better than QPR on Aylesbury?!
As in relocating out West somewhere, though I see that is North West. Just a random example. Not ITK!!
Shame...it would make match day a doddle for me. However Aylesbury are having difficulty even homing their own team...not sure they could cope with QPR. So I think that is a no go!
Apparently the Planning Inspector has recommended that the Car Giant site is excluded from the project as it is a thriving business, so that should finally end any interest we have in the project football-wise. We now await H&F's decision on the LC Stadium regen...
Aylesbury is full of car showrooms and ASM and other car scrap merchants. No. Nobody wants to come to Aylesbury. There was a rumour that the bleak parts of Clockwork Orange were filmed in Aylesbury....even that was lie
At the time of the original proposal the so-called QPR supporting Car Giant justified standing in the way of our much needed new ground by saying they had their own plans for redeveloping their site as part of the overall regeneration plan. Now it transpires they're actually planning on staying put which is driving a coach and horses through an entire strategic plan which would have been a major boost for the area. I know they have a business to run but these are clearly not decent business people and have no interest in the community or people. I hope this puts an end to the sympathy some have shown for these wheeler dealers just because we used to have Car Giant on the hoops. They are not QPR. Buy your car elsewhere.
When I've driven past Warren Farm recently there have been lots of heavy machines parked outside. Assuming they haven't started on the training ground as they would have PR'd it to high heaven. Do correct me if I'm wrong though?
Does this mean Tony’s 45,000 seater stadium is off. Old Oak Common: Plan to buy Cargiant land for flats abandoned https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-engla...POqKpk5rqXuud22NDRLGf5CCZHdLtYTwywL0SweyorMhg
