    Pot 2 is as good as pot 1 for that. Arguably better as you can draw the Russian champions.

    I've always thought that Poch wanted top4 in the PL and nothing else. League Cup,FA Cup,EL ? Rubbish! I think he'd like us to lose 5-0 at little Colchester.....he'd rather leave it to City,Liverpool,Chelsea,...…..and they gladly take it!

    I can remember having a lump in my throat when our,then, center half scored the second against Chelsea in the League Cup Final.....when was that? Seems like a thousand years ago!

    It's probably fair to say that no top six side essentially wants to be in a Europa spot at the end of the season but when you're in it it's something you'd wanna win.

    Watched Saville score 3 very good goals in Azerbae….where ever it is. Saville seem to always be in the EL but they are better than that(?)

    One League Cup Final in 2015, 2 FA Cup semi finals in 2017 and 2018 and a League Cup Semi final in 2019 suggest otherwise Smithy to be fair.

    Not the point smithy...they obviously ARE trying to win the "smaller" trophies as they have got to 1 final and 3 semi finsls of them in 5 years...that's very different from them wanting to 5 nil to cochester!

    We also got relegated. Like you Smithy I was around for the title wins but football has changed and we have had a more consistent run over the last ten years

    I remember that relegation season.Keith's first."They" had got rid of our stars to be replaced by "young kids!" ...including sending Pat to Arsenal.Thought Barry Daines was our future! Some hopes.But we got to see the promise of a lad named Hoddle (how could he be any good with a name like that?).
    Well,we got promoted with a team of kids and a few transfers (including my favourite John Duncan)……..and then....Keith took a trip to Argentina...………!

    I won't tell you what I thought of one of those transfers.....Ian Moores. Bloody hell!!!!!!
