Just a thought on the final fixture of the season at the Etihad. What if Citeh need to win it for the title?
Wrong question. Should be: What if we have to win it for the title! www.itsroundanditswhite.co.uk/articles/are-norwich-city-the-premier-leagues-dark-horses
I'd settle for a place in the Champions' League!!!!? Edit - https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...odgate-wants-mimic-norwichs-success-teesside/
Apologies if already posted - https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/canaries-premier-league-television-selections-1-6279703 Edit - Well done Sky, the have against Watford is now the same evening was as the Annual fireworks display in Norwich City Centre
Can we please have some away games Sky. FFS Friday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2pm are real piss offs for me.
With Webber signing on for 3 more years, can't help but feel the club's in the best shape it has ever been in. It's like the last piece of the jigsaw. Onwards and upwards!
Well Burnley was another hard lesson, similar to that at West Ham. DF saw it like this: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-burnley-daniel-farke-reaction-1-6282990 It felt like an ambush in those first fifteen minutes and we never quite recovered. There were positives as Byram had another good game and Leitner built up his match fitness.
I would just point out that the average league position of our opponents to date is 7th. Three of the six are what would be regarded as potential champions and a further two comfortable survivors.
Newcastle was probably our most important game so far, in that they're likely to be a bottom third team again. Those are the teams we have to beat to survive and as such are 6 pointers. Villa will be another, IMO. Palace drew 1-1 with Wolves at home today and they might be a potential bottom third team. Wolves have struggled so far and could be affected by the second year syndrome, while things look desperate for Watford already with only 2 points on the board, having lost 8-0 to ManCity yesterday, leaving them a goal difference of -14 after six games. Edit: Villa lost 3-2 at Arsenal today, in spite of Arsenal having a player sent off in the first half when Villa were leading 1-0.
I think this season is going to be tough. In most seasons there is a woeful (Huddersfield) team, an almost woeful team (Fulham) and a promoted team with lots of spirit but not much else (Cardiff), but this year no one (with the possible exception of Watford, but I doubt it) looks like being rubbish. I could see lots of teams around 36-40 points by the end of the season and we have to hope we finish above rather than below the line.
OK not yesterday (obviously), but thought Watford looked very good last week in their fightback against Arsenal. You just never know in this league.
The injuries just go on and on: “It didn’t look that good for Alex” Farke told the Pink‘Un.com. “He made a pass and felt a strain in his quad or his groin. We have to wait what the doctor says. It seems like it is a muscle injury.” With Grant Hanley having returned to full-fitness, perhaps the most sensible thing to do for the upcoming trip to Selhurst Park is to play Hanley next to Godfrey in defence and move Amadou into his natural position because I can’t see Tettey being fit enough to play against Crystal Palace." At least Leitner has returned, but with Krul having a back strain as well, the situation is not looking good.
