I usually laugh off the bad results because I see them as a fluke, unlucky or whatever. But THIS, this is something else. Blackburn WILL be near the relegation places this season. Our defence were bullied by Yakubu - a player that was loaned out to a Championship club last season! For a bunch of professionals, the levels of confidence and morale are shocking. How can they consistently underperform? They must surely care. It must humiliating for them aswell, so if they are really trying it must mean that they aren't being used correctly/motivated, which then places the blame at Wenger's door. This season is almost a write-off already, it looks like every game is going to be a struggle.
We should remain stedfast in our conviction that Wenger is not the man to take us forward..... We have too many loud-mouths on this forum calling anyone who sees things for what they are a WUM, Plastic etc etc, or we should go support city.... Wenger/the Board is having a laugh at our expense!
Wenger has shown he is now devoid of ideas . People blame the players , but he has chose the players and set them out according to his tactics. He cant keep his position much longer. You can write the 8-2 off as a freak and explain it away due to severely weakened team that week . Today was not a weakened team , yet we STRUGGLED to even impose ourselves on the game. I saw so many 50- 50 balls that we lost , there is a severe lack of commitment from these players. I suspect they have already given up on the season themselves.
i disagree gunnerballright. you are talking solely about the SECOND half. in the first half we dominated and should have been 4-1 or at least 3-1 in front. they wouldn't have come back from that. but at 2-1 they could still be rallied and fair play to kean cause he did that well. also saw a stat that we had about 25 attempts at goal. need to work on finishing...
The 3rd Blackburn goal came about 'coz we marked zonally, instead of man-for-man, which meant that N'Zonzi (I think) could easily get the shot away and Yakubu had a simple tap in whilst 3 of our players just watched him do it! Do we even have defensive coaches? Our players are some of the most athletic and fastest in the league yet we were counter-attacked numerous times. Are they just not putting the effort in or do we think these players are better than they are? I'm really not sure.
I didn't see the game but read the videprinter updates. Same old Arsenal, all the pretty passing but failure to defend, failure to convert the obscene number of chances and failure to put in the performances that we expect. All the idiots satisfied with the panic buys deserve this loss. WEnger did far too little far too late ! WE do not have a team that can defend, they ALWAYS make mistakes, why ? This is a shocking squad full of imbeciles.

Drudes I think we could talk about the need to work on finishing going back several years but that is only part of our problem. The defensive work is shocking. Had Arsene bought a solid English-based defensive line or instituted a defensive strategy we would have come away with three points. However we cannot expect him to do the latter because sadly, Arsene knows nothing about defence and to our detriment, he doesn't know how to buy English players unless of course they're young. In the past few years, our season had come undone in the final months. Now we're undoing everything at the start of the year. I'm beginning to think we should take a long hard look at almost every department of this club, starting at the top.
Your defence is so open, where the hell does the holding player keep wandering off too? The amount of times the opposition can bypass your midfield and are running straight at your defence is far too much.
Defence was shambolic today. Bad mistakes from Koscielney all through the game. we were good going forward, but again mistakes at the back have cost us. I still think we need another top CB Vermaelen and Mertesacker are the only two with real quality.

So Piskie, are you going to now say that we are a good squad ? WE can't defend for toffee and we still overplay ! It is the same old mistakes over and over, why can Wenger not fix the problem ? The players he bought was a STEP in the right direction but far too little, we need more. We need a towering brute of a DM. WE need a brute of a CB cos Koscielny is too accident prone. WE need to defend as a team and we need to stop frikkin overplaying the ball. Why is this so sodding difficult for Wenger to accept ? 7 frikkin years of the same bullshine ! Aaaaaragh ! I am so angry right now.
I genuinely believe the clock is has started ticking for Wenger at the whistle today. Not a moment too soon. We need to start seeing RESULTS ....... NO ... MORE . EXCUSES !
Shhh, apparently real fans should be happy to pay the highest ticket prices in the world and see a team who are mid table quality. Thats what all the people on this forum say anyway
All we asked for was to support the bloody team. No doubt some of the twats on here probaly enjoyed the game today. Probaly could not wait to get on here and rub it in. Most pathetic supports i have ever seen.
