Let´s skip the Pompey thread (and do the Spurs one after Bournemouth) as it is the least important match of the season so far. Who cares about winning against PFC? Far more important is to win PL matches.
It is only important in that it leads to the next round of the competition. The fact that it is Pompey is incidental. I love both sides in equal measure so who wins does not matter, perhaps a Saints win if it leads to winning a trophy and bringing it to Hampshire which is the important thing.
It is only important in terms of it being our biggest game since Swansea away under Hughes. Games like this is what football is all about - don't give a toss about the Bournemouth game compared to this! A loss in the league and we have 37 other games to make up for it... lose to Pompey and we will have to wait years to make amends!
If they beat us while two divisions below us, on top of the two 4-1's, then we've had it for decades.
Exactly - we had our chance when we passed them in the championship - we blew it! Let's not make that same mistake
You’re the weirdest football fan I know - pretty sure I’ve had this discussion previously. Just can’t fathom you out & you’re doing similar on cricket thread. Anyway, as someone else said, 99.9% (recurring) don’t agree with you. You’re very special, Ides!
Given that the club have sold appropriately 31-32,000 tickets suggests that it is fairly important to many.
A loss to Bournemouth is annoying and be a minor irritation to me especially living here. A loss to Pompey would maybe make me turn off the internet for a while. This game though is still important, and wanting a win.
I think we should spend the match singing about Portsmouth. It would both annoy Bournemouth supporters and be good practice for Tuesday. Dont want to be going into that one rusty.
