Can’t say I’m usually one for negative comments, but **** me that second half was one of the most boring 45 minutes of football that I can remember for a long time.

How come Gooch didn't take the penalty after scoring the last one?

I hate being negative but enough is enough......I am Starting to drift over into the 'Ross Out' camp!

I don't think he is a bad manager but there again I don't think I could say he is a good one!

After over 1 year at the Club he Still does't know his best side, best formation with a Plan B without subs and planC with them!

    Far Too many 1-1's!

    Negative Tactics!

    Fails to motivate!

With regards to Wyke and Grigg you don't become a bad player overnight....there is a settling in period then business as usual but his use of them both has been abysmal, he doesn't utilise their individual strengths.

We DO NOT dominate games and use that to put games to Bed.

I like him in some aspects but am starting to think the JOB is just a bit too BIG for him.

We had 8 players he bought out there tonight (Hume, Mcgeady and Gooch the only inherited ones) so he should have a steady balanced side which can perform well under his management system but we are STILL BLOWING HOT AND COLD!!!!!!!!!!

FFS SORT IT OUT.......You know the old saying "If you ain't gonna S**T, Get off the POT!!!"

Should have been out of sight at half time, yet again they concede and were rubbish in the 2nd half for a second match on the trot Rotherham just took ower what the frig was the jock thinking ?, get them owners in quick and big Sam back before there is trouble down there somebody ran on the pitch to get the pathetic ref who need looking into by the way (they are ****ing us big time). Will they EVER keep another clean sheet as well ? If we had been 3-0 up Mcgeady would have scored though.

McGeady scores his penalty and we win the game, hardly JR's fault.
His starting eleven a bit strange but he went for energy in midfield and McLaughlin was found wanting at full back not for the first team since his arrival.
Sadly it appears O9 is his better option at right back.
The three up front should have been enough especially after such a start but we seemed to miss Leadbitters steadying influence which is a conundrum JR has to sort out.
Seven games end in draws tonight and we move up one place so all is not lost, Bolton need a good hiding on Saturday.

It’s getting harder to back the gaffer though.

Results are inconsistent if not terrible, but the poor performances have carried on since March now.

Anyone who says that’s not a concern is ****ing mental.

I was saying to the lad next to me. Penalty causes problems for us. McGeady can shrug it off he’s experienced enough. But you could see it get to the young lads. Rotherham saw it too. It looked like the rear of god was put into Dobson and Willis. We were by far the better team till then. They were by far the better team afterwards

While we're within touching distance of the top of the table I'm happy enough with Ross and the team, if we start losing games regularly and dropping down the table we'd have to look at getting someone else.

It's a results business and Ross is doing alright to be fair. A January transfer window with good money to spend would see us win the league I reckon as long as we're thereabouts before it.

1st half performance was good, we were better than them. 2nd half wasn't bad, but they upped their game.

Overall, againt a team that won 6 0 on Saturday, I thought we were positive enough and i don't think Ross can be blamed for negative tactics. The penalty miss was the key. Is that the first time McGeady has missed a penalty for us?

No I think that’s 2 or 3 from around 40!! We hold a world record for the number of pens in a row without missing.

Guess who missed the first after that run.... Aiden NcGeady!!

To be fair, they always look awful when the keeper saves them. If he dived the other way we all have a different conversation tonight!

6-1 by the way Rotherham won ! not 6-0 and they were ****, shooting over the top etc by us, and bought the biased ref as most are nowadays not being racist but it is them lot including Toney are causing this. That player diving in the first half was hilarious yet we get 3 players booked to their none, totally fixed.Bolton away the manager says right it's Sunderland dive lads and you will be ok. a supporter tried to get at the ref i believe he was lucky that time. cannot wait for the new owners to come in.

Imho we fell apart after the penalty miss and Rotherham took heart

It is said momentum in sport is a big factor, certainly we proved that point tonight

    Why...

Yep absolutely. It changed the game when we missed. If That goes in it’s probably a comfortable 3 or 4 goal win.

But if my Aunty had balls and all that....

A penalty miss is worse than conceding a goal sometimes, but it happens to the best of teams. More relevant was the starting formation, it was not even our best team and no one saw the changes coming, or could figure out the formation, it was like the first home game all over again in many respects. We got a dream start and then went to sleep. We did this last year, every time we had the chance to make up ground we went to pieces and its happening again. unless changes are made a top six finish is the best we can hope for, unless he changes his ways, I cant see Ross being here at the end of the season and I cant see that happening unfortunately.

Team wasn't that strange was it? Four at the back, nobody played out of position and O'Nien and Dobson in front of McGeough is all fine imo.

Definitely room for improvement in the performance but I wouldn't say it was a case of Ross tinkering for no reason. I don't think McLaughlin (RB) is going to work out, he's struggling at this level. Might need to switch Hume to the right and try De Bock on the left.
