The Champions League final was one of the worst games I have ever seen. Played at walking pace between two sides who looked knackered and unfit. That’s what happens when you play football for 11 months of the year. Most of these players are off to play international matches now <doh>

    @Whats up Doc

Cracking day yesterday for us punters.

My son had a near 50/1 double on course with 5/1 and 9/1 winners of the first and last races - fortunately the bets were laid via my phone account, so father will be skimming off some of the winnings.

In the Derby I had £10 ew at 9s on Antony van Dyke. One of the best rides I have seen in the race from Seamie Heffernan - a miracle that he got the horse home from that position.

Fewer gypsies on the course this year selling lucky heather - they were having a day out in Oxford St instead with their Romanian pickpocket cousins.

After our two fine wins we're only second favourites for relegation after Reading, although it varies from one bookie to the next. Progress or what.

Trading is my new choice of punting.

The problem with it is there is no liquidity in most markets, especially if you are short of time & don’t have time to comb through sites.

For example, you couldn’t lay @Beware of the Virus for a tenner NOT to buy a programme at the Leeds game :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yes - and the usual suspects.
Never ever thought about it till recently.

Amazed how many no lose punts can be found.

    eg. Millwall v Charlton

Corals do a "build your bet" and you do the following

    1) Charlton win (as if :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:)
    2) both teams to score
    3) Under 3 goals

    Odds of say 11/1
The only variable for this bet to win would be a 2-1 to Charlton

Go on Betfair/betdaq and if the price is lower than 10.5/1 (allowing for commission) lay it and you've locked it your profit.

Even if you do small stakes and only make £5 - £10 per game it soon builds up.

There are hundreds of forums on Facebook/Twitter etc with people that have the software (bloody expensive to buy yourself) that searches for these bets.
Some of them charge, some dont.

Bookies tolerate it, because each winning bet has a losing side, but Corals have gubbed my account after a few big wins (restricted promos)

Know someone thats made £3k on that, but wouldn't go near it myself.
    It's like a pyramid scheme.

If Ronaldo or Messi retire at the end of the season, millions of people with their shares lumped on will lose the lot.

I know a couple of punters who have tried this (me included <laugh>) ...would you agree that it needs time & patience ...it’s doable, but IMO for small money that often ends up paying less than the minimum wage :emoticon-0125-mmm:

It is very doable, especially if you have the software.
Betfair do a cheap version (Bet Angel) for £6 a month - not sure how good it is though.
As I said above, lots of forums where people with the software pass on their info - lots of them talk like traders though and might as well be written on Chinese
