    Klopp provides fresh update on Divock Origi injury


    Divock Origi is set for a short spell on the sidelines due to the ankle injury he sustained against Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday.


    The striker was not part of the travelling squad that departed John Lennon Airport for Tuesday’s Champions League group-stage opener against Napoli in Italy earlier today.

    And speaking onboard the team flight, Jürgen Klopp offered an update on Origi’s fitness.

    He told Liverpoolfc.com: “The update on Div is that it is not too serious.

    “We expect him [to be out for] between one and two weeks, but it depends a little bit on when he can deal with the pain.

    “It is nothing really; it’s a feeling, but it should be fine.”

    Napoli have won just one their last six European meetings with English clubs, losing the other five in this run.
    Liverpool have not lost their opening CL since AC Milan 1994-1995 V Ajax 25 years ago.

    Liverpool have not improved in midfield. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is still a fringe player. We know they are a good side but those three have to be on their game to win matches.

    Napoli are all-action and very strong at home, but not convincing away from home. Dries Mertens just rocks up and does the job. He gets big goals and I expect him to grab another through the week.

    For the love of God, please no! The full backs are ****. We lose a lot of creativity if we start with those two at full back AND without a creative link in midfield

    That bench is not great, can't understand why Brewster isn't getting a shot, we've seen time and time again that AOC and Shakira can't play up top.
