Tough game this. Napoli are a bigger threat than Newcastle going forward and we left gaping holes for them to run into. I’d like to see a nice compact, well organised defence that can keep a clean sheet - and then nick a couple on the break. I doubt this will happen though and we will probably concede again so we need to score 2 or 3 again.
Newcastle scored a single worldie by a player who had never taken a right footed shot before in his career. Napoli won't have that element of surprise.
The goal wasn’t the only opening mate. We are not yet where we need to be defensively imo....right now, Napoli will score if we perform in the same manner imo.
I have never bought into this observation. We are structured to be more attacking on the right side with less tracking back from Salah. As such, Trent will always be targeted as he does not receive similar cover that Mane and Wij afford Robertson. When Trent is required to defend, he stands up to some of the best wingers.

I don’t think so really. Gomez has struggled recently in that position. And offers next to nothing going forward. For the very little we may gain defensively, we lose a hell of a lot offensively.
Agreed. He may not be Maldini levels yet but his defending is underrated, and has less protection than Robbo. Gomez at RB concerns me in a number of ways.
Andy Robertson is a doubt to face Napoli. Klopp: "Robbo didn’t train today and we have to see. It is not a major thing, it was more precautionary today, but it is not 100 per cent sure he will be available. We will have to test it tomorrow and then we will see.”
He got done for the Newcastle goal. He’s a bit of a lazy defender in 1v1s to be honest. Doesn’t open up his body enough at times and is too square
Nothing wrong with an away draw against Napoli. I’d be happy to save the win for the weekend. Obviously I’d prefer to win both
