She isn't the selection by the way. That dubious honour goes to LEROY BROWN (12/1) for the in form Twiston Davies team.
Very cheap given her lineage – just €30,000 in ’18. Trainer has a 50% strike rate with bumper debutants in the Isle (3/6).
She was cheap given her lineage and if she were a nice type surely Elliott or Mullins would have been in for her. The yard have a great strike rate especially when Dickie is on board but they are not usually great value.
Trainer stills owns the gelding I see. Is this another case of (i) the horse being trained to the minute and ready to win first time out. Then (ii) the rogue of a trainer selling the animal to an existing owner in the yard for mega money – nothing sells in racing like Potential, with a capital ‘P’, and all that.
Its often the way with T-D. He doesnt mind owning them himself and winning their bumpers. I am not sure when he sells them off but typically trainers would rather someone else were paying for the oats. He has a 14% strike rate in bumpers as an owner, 13% as a trainer.
Paul George an up and coming trainer from West Country runs Ballycross at Worcester, he was un fancied at newton Abbot lto, but ran a very encouraging race ,I see he's been backed in to 7/1 from 14 , I'm sure he'll be in the shake up !! Also Fo
FOB horse in the first looked interesting last night and I’m slightly annoyed that I didn’t back it. Owned by the Braces, and their lad is on it. 6s probably too short on form but new yard is a positive
