Due to be introduced in place of the current very old and unreliable stock at the end of this year. And not before time.
The city centre will continue to suffer while these things are not properly dealt with... Larry's Bar With sadness we announce the closure of Larry’s Bar in Hull City Centre with immediate effect. Abusive, threatening, intimidating, and anti-social behaviours, perpetrated by a hard core crew of feral hooligans has finally taken it’s toll and the situation has ultimately reached the point where we just cannot continue in that environment. Despite all of this we have no regrets about establishing our business where we did. We have met and had the privilege to serve some of the most wonderful people. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to you all! We really would not have come this far without your kindness, generosity and support! Special thanks also to the local businesses that have given their support, especially Coffee 31, Brookes Menswear, NatWest Bank, Richer Sounds, Affordable Foods and several more. Thanks also to the individual police officers and PCSOs who have tried to deal with the issues and to keep a lid on the problem. We are so proud that from the outset we have only sold Safi coffee and supported a charity which was established and is run by the pupils of Hull Collegiate School. Every cup of coffee that we have made has contributed to the education of children in Uganda. We are immensely proud that we gave it a real go however we know that there are not too many who would have tolerated what we have for as long as we have. Indeed, many have said so! Very best wishes to each and every one of you who has supported us and we hope that one day the whole of this beautiful city centre can be reclaimed as an asset for the people of Hull and beyond.
That is sad news indeed, the drinks they did were actually not bad, but at the risk of sounding like a completely clueless bellend... why don't they park up somewhere else in the City Centre?
It sounds like they've been deliberately targeted, so I suspect moving round the corner wouldn't help.
Never heard of it, where was it? My mate is the manager of a shop in the area And he isn’t so complimentary about the police and their attitude, point blank refusing to view his cctv to arrest a scrote who’d nicked stuff from his shop.
https://www.hammondsofhull.co.uk/ Can they really achieve the 'artists impression' showing on the website? Sounds / looks promising. Would be great if they can do something impressive.
As good a place as any Not that long ago, but how weird does it look now seeing buses going round Vicky statue
