Obviously delighted that we won, but as with when the team was announced before the game, I still find it bizarre that we’re not playing our best full backs. Or a LB at all. Seems like everything is going for us right now. The fact that we’ve got more clean sheets than Liverpool is hilarious, and we’ve been mostly calamitous at the back too.
Noun. strange bedfellows pl (plural only) (idiomatic) An unusual combination or political alliance "Misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows."
7pts from 5 games, extrapolated out for the season puts us on 53pts. That would have for us 9th last season, a point behind Everton. I’d take that this season!! COYR
Man, I wish we'd gotten Maddison. Not a slight against the team -- we were apparently in for him, and it's hard to begrudge his choice of Leicester over us at that time -- but if there's a missing piece in our suddenly more aggressive attack, it'd be a player with his attributes.
Quite likely, but I wouldn't be upset with two years of him and an extra 50m or some such, heh. Honestly, a big club should have been in for him from the start. I know that they're wary of signing players who might need development time (though some are learning; Daniel James is the sort that'd have normally gone to a mid-table finishing school before getting purchased for 3x as much), but Maddison was so absurdly out of place in the Championship that someone in the top six should have been willing to take the plunge. 20 years old and with only a few months of first-team action and everyone on that Norwich team was deferring to him as their creative engine.
Yep, he's quality but like you say the club were unlikely to have outbid Leicester and it was the player's decision to go there instead of here.
That's from 3 away games and 2 home games against the big 6...lots of easier looking fixtures down the track.
Doing this on my phone, so if this has already been posted, my apologies. Moussa Djenepo absolutely made this young fan's week. He was so overjoyed he could hardly contain himself: Sorry, DTLW. Just went enough pages back to spot yours while on my PC.
I fecking love football I’m not so keen on trying to get my daughter home from the NIA in Birmingham after an Ariana Grande concert.... totally gridlocked and then the M6 shut. Northampton - Sheffield - Northampton - Birmingham - 3 hours back to Northampton. Just got home! Knackered! Up the Saints!
You're confused about Adam Blackmore doing it when every fan does it too? And they have less access to insider knowledge than AB.
