Let's be honest, at the start of the day we were probably all contemplating how big a hit our goal difference was going to take, especially after an awful week when it seemed we lost a player to injury every day. But this team just keeps giving and giving and giving. Unbelievable!
Struggling to think who didn’t have an exceptional game. Tettey - out of his skin. Positioning superb. Lewis - comfortable against the best wingers in the world McClean - ferocious Scot Byram - no words for how good that performance was And Cantwell. My word. What an effort
I think this is worth posting again, what a game loved every minute of that. Had that handball been against us you know that VAR would've gone against us seems even with VAR you get big club bias via the VAR ref. Shame.
Cheers bud, yes all good cheers, you also For me an interesting and good result for this game we all love called football Top stuff!
Nothing to do with big team bias Rich. Correct decision by both ref and VAR following amendment to, and clarification of, the handball rule this summer.
Wasn't watching can't afford sky etc but commentary suggested otherwise, as for the bias I don't see how you can say that maybe here maybe not but it remains to be seen if that bias remains in general we all know it exists on the pitch when playing big teams at home but whatever. I don't really care enough to argue the point either way so whatever, meh
I'm stunned. But we totally deserved it.to be fair,I could not believe some of the critical, doomladen comments I have read recently. It makes me wonder what some people were expecting this season
