Heads high whatever the result now. That was sensational. And I think we played decent football as well, when we got the ball. Which was actually more often than many against Man City and their millions.
It’s a very odd one - lots of comments on the BBC live feed that it was clearly a hand in an unusual position so it should be a penalty. Not sure if they’re Norwich fans though! I thought it would be a bit harsh, but the rules are the rules. I think the measure is “clear and obvious error” by the ref though, so like umpire’s call if it’s in the balance VAR goes with the ref’s decision, and he’s never going to give little old Norwich a penalty against one of the big boys.
Other than MC's goal, I love how we're playing this game: not pressing too high, picking and choosing our chances with the ball and clearing when it makes sense instead of trying to bring the ball out when deep in our own territory. It's a more conservative approach and one I think we will see more of until we get some defenders back. Hated to see the yellow card on Byram.
That doesn't mean anything when VAR rule out a goal because it skimmed a players upper arm a couple of minutes before the goal. Don't know why it should be different the other way. If that happens in our box. Man City are getting a Pen.
Not sure if I am out of place saying this. But is this by far the best Emi has played this season? Not been impressed at all by him this season apart from maybe 2 passages of play? I think he's been class this first 48 minutes.
It's the hope that gets you. I know, I'm a miserable old git. But whatever happens, our team can be very proud of themselves tonight.
These players have put everything on the line. This has been way beyond what I hopped for. These lads have really done us proud. I don't know if we can keep this energy up until the end, to have a triple sub on 92 minutes. Hopefully he will make subs earlier as so many are not match fit.
