I just hope that Angus (if he plays) doesn't do a Niemi down there, imagine if Fraser was in goal!... Thinking about it Alex might be a good bet, he seems to have a calm head.
I'm assuming you mean Niemi having a leg injury, as in the FA Cup Final? It would be Alex remember, as Fraser is doing quite well as 1st choice up at Celtic.
For purely selfish reasons I'd rather Vestergaard not play and bring Maya in. Don't think I'd ever forgive Vestergaard if he gifted a winner down there.
Niemi had a mare in 2005 IIRC. and yes i'm very aware that Fraser has left us and is prospering at the calm surroundings of Celtic and the SPL.
I'd go: Angus Cedric Maya Bednarek Bertrand Romeu Hojgberg Redmond Prowsey/Djenepo Ings Adams Assuming everyone's fit of course.
Yeah that seems like it’ll do. I’d start Prowsey, even though he’s been poor so far this season, and then bring Djenepo and/or Boufal at the end and score a few in the last ten mins when their defenders are blowing. Sounds familiar.
I have slight concerns over Prowsey for this match if I'm honest. Probably unfounded but it's going to be a very strange first match at his boyhood club for him, and he'll probably be targeted for abuse more than anyone.
Yeah but "he used to be a Skate but he's alright now".... He's tougher than he looks, remember him winding that player up last season?
I trust him to be up for it. One of his best games in a Saints game was arguably his biggest in the League cup final. Who knows which Prowsey will turn up on the day though, he could go missing which he’s done a lot recently or he could be a machine.
Yeah I did say that it was probably unfounded, just overthinking things I guess. Could really do with this game being next week tbh.
Is it true there was a song about Westwood being a nonce today? Hope not, would like to think we're a bit better than that.
