Beer tastes better out of a proper glass and the queues are shorter in the Bell.

Not even sure we'll be able to field eleven players the way things are going? <yikes>

The injury list is crazy and so many sound pretty long term. After this game we have games that we hoped would be winnable, this injury list puts that in real danger.

    Krul - a minor doubt
Aarons - out until the next international break
    Godfrey - muscle strain
    Zimmermann - our until January
Klose - out for 9 months
    Leitner - hasn’t trained for 2 weeks
    Vrancic - injured!
    Trybull - 4 weeks
    Hernandez - min 9months

Also Roberts is ineligible for this game, Idah likely to make the squad. DF says he’s not happy to throw young players in unprepared, so I doubt we will see many of any of the u23s

That is some injury list. I was less concerned abput tomorrow than our readiness for subsequent games...time for the replacements to earn their coin!

    Fahrmann
    Byram Tettey Amadou Lewis
    McLean Cantwell
    Buendia Stiepermann Drmic
    Pukki

And that leaves Idah, Srbeny, McGovern, Hanley and Heise on the bench.

Am I missing anyone?? Famewo called up from the U21s, or is he out on loan too?

    I'd favour:

    Fahrmann
    Byram Amadou Lewis Heise
    McLean Tettey
    Buendia Stiepermann Cantwell
    Pukki

It's not like Citeh have the big man up front, so Lewis pace would be more important there than Tettey's grist. Plus then at least Tettey can provide some sort of screen with McLean.
Sounds like maybe Krul still makes it, but we are in serious dire straights. With respect to u23's being chucked in under prepared. With the injuries and international absentees, I reckon the u23's will have to have been training with the top team, maybe one i.e. Famewo or Jones could step up? It's not like you need heep any pressure on them, there isn't anyone out there not expecting a route.....and that was before finding out Godfrey, Hanley and Arrons were all set to miss out.

    Bah!

Only just seen the injury list and IMO, we might as well fly the white flag instead of the NCFC one for tomorrow's game and the one against Villa next month!!! <yikes>

Hard to predict our starting X1 bearing in mind we have a midweek trip to Ukraine
    Best guess would be

    Ederson
    Walker Stones Otamendi Zinchenko
    Fernandinho De Bruyne D Silva
    Mahrez Aguero Sterling

    Subs
    Bravo
    Cancelo
    Gundogan
    Rodri
    Foden
    Bernado Silva
    Jesus

Biggest conundrum is whether to head for the Compleat Angler or try somewhere new?

In 47 years of following City, I can never remember an injury list like this one. Is it the consequence of double training sessions? With those we have left, I'd go for:

    Krul/Fahrmann
    Byram Amadou Lewis Heise
    Tettey McLean
    Buendia Stiepermann Cantwell
    Pukki

Subs: Krul/Fahrmann (or McGovern if Krul is out), Godfrey?/Famewo, U23 FB, U23 CM, Fitzpatrick, Srbeny, Drmic

If DF is going to go on with our attacking style it's hard to see anything other than a complete rout. Depressing.

Interesting thoughts Rick and I was wondering whether or training regime was partly to blame for the injuries and it could well be a contributory factor and tackles that would have resulted in a week or two off last season are now leading to a month or two off.
I think I feel a song coming on, with a minor change to the last word - I Predict A .....
