    A post from a Leeds site on FB. I have no idea of its veracity as I'm not a gambler & wouldn't know how to check it. But as it appears to be a potential gift horse, I thought I'd post it her for the gamblers to make a fortune (and hopefully give me a sizeable percentage of the millions you make :D).     Interesting one, I used to gamble quite a bit in my late teens early twenties, then I got a thing called a mortgage and it drained all my spare pennies

    I find you usually win free bets back on offers like these or have to gamble your winnings 200 times or something stupid!

    I dont gamble online enough to pick the deal apart if I'm honest <ok>

    It's interesting how far bookmakers are willing to go these days to entice gamblers to bet with them.

    Earlier this year I was introduced to a well known firm by an acquaintance and they immediately offered me £1000 in free bets to come on board. There were no strings attached, just play the money through once and I could withdraw it if I wished. They offered to take bets online, over the phone or cash in person and would also offer all the usual perks such as; best odds guaranteed, first past the post etc etc.

    Decided to give them go and so far so good with profits into 5 figures (excluding the pence if you were wondering). They seem to be in it for the long haul as well as they have also sent me 5 x £100 free bets if I haven't used them for a few weeks. Just one of those free bets accumulated winnings of over £1000 which they happily paid out.

    Obviously they will be operating in the knowledge that the house always wins in the end.

    However they did have to take another loss this week thanks to your beloved Scotland :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Keeping my cards close to my chest on this one Forza.

    Lesson learned Im afraid.

    Still keep getting asked where my scottish arseh*** mate is when visiting a certain downtown gambling establishment. Could have cost me my VIP membership which means I get complimentary drinks as well as certain other benefits such as free gaming chips and taxis home.

    I tell you how bad I'm at betting on football. Rep of Ireland are usually a banker for un2.5 goals. So when I put that into my accy I was confident of at least that coming up. But oh no the feckers had to win 3.1, ffs I didn't see that coming...<grr><wah>

    At least the irish know how to behave on a night out shaks.

    I'm sure that's why Davy didn't complain when taken to strange and mysterious places by his Leeds brethren.

    Too much of a gentleman.

    Although to be fair, on that particular snowy snowy night he could have been saying anything as I couldn't understand a word he was saying.

    For the last 20 years I've gone to Cheltenham always sign up to the free bets to new customers, so does my wife <whistle>, always seem to be up at the end of the week, then just take the money, I only seem to lose the day we go, doubt it anything to do with the copius amounts of Guinness. Problem now is, I think I've gone through them all.

    The trouble is Essex, I don't have the money to bet big(well if I went T-Total), so accys are more interesting, harder to win, but cheaper to do.:grin:
