Finally, Johnson has got something right - ruling out an electoral pact with the Brexit Party.

A Downing Street spokesman said this afternoon: “The PM will not be doing a deal with Nigel Farage.”

A senior Conservative source added: “Neither Nigel Farage or Arron Banks are fit and proper persons and they should never be allowed anywhere near government.”

His hard-line agenda does nothing to help the peace process in the Middle East. As a policy, it's a vote winner for him, ensuring further time in power, but at what cost. It will strenthen the resolve of Hamas and the Palestinian people, who are oppressed by the Israeli regime and can only lead to further bloodshed. He's been roundly critisised by Arab nations and the UN, but funnily enough, not the US.

Also in world news, Trump has stuck two fingers up to the Taliban, who were to start peace talks as they admitted killing a US soldier, and Trump then goes and drops 80,000lbs of bombs on an island off of Iraq alleged to have been an ISIS training camp....

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-led-coalition-hits-isis-infested-island-iraq/story?id=65510568

North Korea suggest that they can re-enter de-nuclearisation talks with the US, and then fire two short range missiles into the Sea of Japan.....

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-49643840

Iran, fresh from lying to the world (especially UK and EU) about the destination for it's oil tanker (who didn't see that coming?) arrests two British-Australian nationals and imprisons them in the same jail as Zaghari-Ratcliffe for up to 10 years....

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49658365

And most importantly, in the US Apple have released the iPhone 11, which has triggered panic attacks in "hundreds" of people who suffer from trypophobia, the phobia of small holes (honest) due to their grouping of cameras on the rear of the device - FFS!

But what will he say tomorrow or next week? And more relevantly what will he do if after a GE he needs Brexit Party MP's to give him a majority in Parliament and a basis for renewed Tory government, like the DUP gave May.

You can be as rude as you like about Israel's ultra right wing government - so long as you don't do it because they happen to be Jewish, and then blame all Jewish people!

PS I'm not Jewish, I'm CofE, if it still exists

That's a fair question. Boris is good at saying one thing, and then doing the opposite for political expediency.

The problem is though Goldie that some people equate all condemnation of Israeli policy as anti-semitism.....

Won't he have to resign now he's been found to have lied to the Queen (as well as the rest of us)?

There's a clear distinction though, isn't there, Stainsey? Labour conference can justifiably condemn Netanyahou's government, but then some hotheads will try and find some Jewish people to have a go at. Ironically, Jews like the late Gerald Kaufman were Israel's biggest critics

The proroguing bit is another issue. I'm going to stick my neck out and say, when the appeal goes to the Supreme Court next week, which will also hear Gina Miller's claim, the court will find for the government. That's because, unless government does something really egregious, unelected courts are always reluctant to interfere with elected governments (which the Tory government is, despite Boris not being elected personally)

Boris may resign anyway, rather than go for an extension. Then if no one else can form a government, there is a GE. If all the opposition parties can back one person (probably not Corbyn) I suppose a second referendum could be called, but that would be incredibly divisive in my view.

PS I see Corbyn is ruling out a second referendum before a GE

Yes there is a clear difference, however some who want to smear, like to muddle that difference. Of course this suits the Israeli government (as has been proven).

Especially if Leave won again. But then again Leave wouldn't be on the voting form, it'll be 'Shyte deal' or 'Remain'...

Yes, it would have to be no-deal-if-one-cannot-be-agreed or Remain. May's deal is dead meat, and anyone bringing it back is no better than a necrophiliac

Funny enough neither was Boris Johnston, Jacob Rees-Mogg (Lord President), The right Honourable Baroness Evans of Bowes Park and the right Honourable Mark Spencer went to see her Majesty, Boris was down the nags head having a bevvy with Del Boy.
