Maybe so, but its a little strange how often it's referred to! Just sounds like an excuse to me! I mean we can't forget how important the Carling Cup was to you two seasons ago, almost on a par with the Champions League according to some of your customers! <ok>

    Thanks. I didn't realize.

Sorry, just fancied being bitchy for a second.[/NSFW]

By the way, Man U fans are selling tickets for this game for 75 and 100 quid on Facebook. Just thought that might interest people who are saying this is a one-way rivalry which most real scum fans don't care about. What a **** pre-match banter thread this is anyway. We haven't once been referred to as sheep shaggers yet, and frankly I'm insulted by that.

We shouldn't hate Man utd anymore as they have ceased to be a football club, they are now a brand, it's like hating Nike or Addidas. Kids want to wear the shirts but they are interchangeable, todays man utd fan is tomorrows man city fan. Give me 30000 singing at ER over 74'000 foreigners taking photos at OT anyday

Exactly, Glazers should just rename the club Franchise FC, it's funny when man u fans not from manchester make up excuses on why they support man u and aren't glory supporters like my aunt owned a cat that had been driven through Manchester and therefore I'm a true man u fan not only that but I own all the merchandise I can buy and go see a match every 6 years and don't sing, theres a difference between glory supporters and oversees fans at every single club except scum, our oversees fans chant at matches, are passionate, actually go to matches as much as they can and usually support their local team as well as Leeds unlike manc glory supporters who declare every other club unfit for them to support except Man u, well by support I mean watch the matches on tv in america, asia, essex, london ect everywhere but Manchester.

Do you really think that Fergie's going to field a reserve team? In front of 40,000 at Elland Road, he'd be taking a risk. Even though he probably doesn't care about the Carling Cup, he'll want to prove a point after last time.

He really won't. If you think about it as a grudge match and him out to get revenge, then he can't win - if he fields a full strength side and wins, he's mocked for having to field a full strength side - if he loses, he's mocked for losing with a full strength side. All hypotheticals, since he won't see it as a grudge match.

    Ironic isnt it.

All those Singapore Prawn fishermen you have been funding for years, can now afford to buy your club...

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

He played what was effectively a second choice team against Benfica in the CL. If he'll do it against the strongest rival side in our CL group, he'll definitely be willing to do it in the 3rd round of the CC with a tough trip to Stoke at the weekend. He may want to prove a point, but he's above all a pragmatist.

    Thought not.

    Lets...

    You:
Are'nt you 700 million pounds in debt, owned by an American who even let you all pay for him buying it.
Now it seems you are about to be part owned by the Prawn fishermen you have made so rich.....

    Us:
No one knows who owned us for the last few years so let discuss,
PS. we have no debt and are now owned by a Englishman (who is kind enough to be 80 and about to die with no ginger sons).

The bit in bold......nope we are no where near £700million in debt.

Also I am pretty sure the Glazers are the most successful owners of a football club ever in the UK in terms of on and off the pitch performances. Maybe even the world.

Ken Bates is about as bad an owner a club could get. Ours are almost invisable and just let the club do what it does best. Its perfect almost......the debt being the bit letting it down but to be honest our fears as fans are mostly far fetched and unlikely.

You don't know how much debt you've got because the Glazers (I'm a big fan by the way) have moved the finances to Delaware the most secretive banking area in the world. They've transfered ownership from Red Football Ltd Partnership to a new company Red Foobtall LLC, they're Ken Bates but on a much grander scale. KB owns Leeds United but you do not have a clue who owns your lot or who the share holders are. Whoever it is is taking serious amounts of money off the customers.

    The clock is ticking .....................

Ken Bates doesn't own Leeds. As your own football club stated:

"Leeds, on their website, then declared that the ownership is via the three trusts, administered via Zurich, but no individual owns more than 10%. Therefore, the club said, they do not have to name any individuals."

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/dav...g/2011/apr/06/ken-bates-leeds-united-who-owns

So you don't even know who owns Leeds - Bates is just fronting for god knows who. Col Gaddafi could be your biggest shareholder for all we know! You'd have thought that such loyal and dedicated fans would actually know the ownership structure of their own club...

Old news... Ken has remembered he owns us:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...eover-of-Leeds-United-to-end-uncertainty.html

I imagine we will all get a bit forgetful at 80 years old...

But here are few questions you should worry about:

Why are Manure floating on the Singapore Exchange / not on the FTSE?
    What is Red Football LLC?
How much debt is the club now carrying?
Why don't the Glaziers want any voting rights for new shareholders?
How much more cash have the Glaziers borrowed from the club?

See you on the way down..... If you don't go bust!
