I'll second that Proph ... It's been a sad few weeks across S.Wales. I've added my condolences to a thread on the Swans board - "off topic"... (taking nothing away from your post Proph )
Absolutely, will do the same. Swans fans were totally supportive over Mike Dye and it is only right that we give our support in their hour of need. Strange how such adversity brings us together. Or perhaps not. In a perverse way these sort of events bring us so much closer together.
How do you express the sympathy you have, to see children without fathers, wife's without husbands, mother's without sons. R.I.P.
Yet another dark day in the valleys off south wales i hope things start to improve for us all. RIP thoughs once again go out to all those left behind at these sad sad times.
Thanks for putting the thread up Proph respect for that. I understand that Cardiif will also be wearing black armbands this weekend out of respect too. Glad to see we can all come together in times of sadness and adversity.
miners are a different breed of men with their own wonderful senses of humor and dealing with things even in their darkest hour. My grandfather was one and I've known a few over the years. My most heartfelt condolence goes out to the families of those lost. RIP, Wales is proud of you boys
Usually avoid these sort of threads - far too upsetting, but I'll just add the same thought as others. Rest in peace guys - what a tragic waste.
Nice touch with the thread, Proph. I echo the sentiments already raised, RIP to the four men who are braver than me for just doing that job, and my thoughts are with their families and loved ones. Should the ultimate price ever have to be paid by someone going to put bread on his family's table in todays times? I also hope the one fella that got out but is in a critical condition manages to pull though.
No one should die, just for going to work, I know we live in a bit of a nanny state now, and some of the health and safety rules seem ridiculous at times, but things like this bring it home
well done proph i knew i could count on you...........................................A Welshman stood at the golden gate, his head was bent and low. He meekly asked the man of fate, The way that he should go. 'What have you done' St. Peter said 'To gain admission here?' 'I merely mined for coal' he said, 'for many and many a year.' St. Peter opened wide the gate, And softly tolled the bell. 'Come and choose your harp' he said 'You've had your share of hell.' Remembering the miners of Gleision - R.I.P. May God keep you safe ...........
