    This. Shola HAD potential when he came up the ranks and I thought to myself ''woah that youngster sure will be something'' but after he got that hip injury he was never the same.. now he's absolutely finished IMO. Not PL material.. Championship/SPL is around his level now. No pace, technique, lack of creativity, vision, skill.. all he offers really is a presence upfront and offers SOMETHING(according to Pardew he's like Zamora).. <ok>

    God this man drives me mad. He's a lovely boy, but he's got to be one of the laziest players in the league. The way he falls over is annoying enough, but the way he sits in the box carefully pulling his socks up is infuriating, and most of the time it's when the attack is still happening!

    Sorry Shooa, but your lack of pace, movement and touch completely destroy any ground based attack and your aerial threat is non existent.

    Would love to see Ba and Best start tomorrow as it would be mean we will take the game to Villa. On monday we invited pressure on ourselves and we were lucky to come away with a point. I won't be happy if Shola starts.

    Pardew might thinks he's appealing to the fans by playing a local guy who, ****e or not, most people love.. or something?

    But I found worse! 25 in 119 in the Premiership. Francis Jeffers.

    Edit: He has 36 in 209 league games for all his teams. 17%!

    So it's him and Carlton Cole.

    Let's just highlight this guys. Ameobi has recently started quite a few of our games in the last two seasons, and apps/goals wise, the only players below him are:

    Francis Jeffers
    Carlton Cole

    I don't think I need to say anything else.

    And Kanu. 56 in 305 in England. So Jeffers, Cole and someone who missed from a yard out more than once.
